I’m a university student in Senegal and I’m about to complete my bachelor’s degree this year.
I wanted to ask if anyone knows if there is any way to get the physical official diploma faster than usual after graduation (or any faster administrative process in general).
I need the diploma for important career plans abroad, and in my understanding it can sometimes take several months or even longer to be issued.
I already know that universities usually issue an attestation of success first, but for my next steps I will eventually need the official diploma document itself.
So I would like to know:
Is there any way to speed up the process (formal or informal)?
Do some universities in Senegal issue diplomas faster than others?
Is there anything I should request from the administration right after graduation to avoid delays?
Any experience or advice from students who went through this?
Any help or personal experience would be really appreciated.

I’m planning to apply for a Master’s programme at SGH Warsaw School of Economics as an international student from Senegal.
The admission deadline is July 24, but I will only complete my Bachelor’s degree in July and may not receive my final diploma before the deadline.
SGH’s website says that applicants who do not yet have their diploma can submit a certificate of completion or thesis defense confirmation and provide the diploma later. However, they also state that non-EU/OECD/EFTA diplomas require a NAWA recognition statement.
My concern is that, as far as I understand, the NAWA recognition process requires the final diploma, which means I cannot start it until I officially graduate.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Were you able to apply first and submit the NAWA recognition later, or did SGH require the NAWA statement before completing the admission process?
I have already contacted SGH admissions, but I would really appreciate hearing from students who have gone through this process themselves.

I’ve been living in Senegal for almost 3 years now, and there’s something I’ve always quietly wondered about.
I have Senegalese friends, or at least people I genuinely consider friends. We hang out, talk often, joke together, all of that. But not once have I ever been invited to a celebration, family gathering, Tabaski, wedding, baptism, etc
I know Senegalese people celebrate these things a lot, so after a while I started wondering if maybe there’s just a cultural thing I don’t understand. I never wanted to ask my friends directly because I don’t want to sound weird or make anyone uncomfortable.
What made me think about it more is that I’ve met other foreigners here who told me they do get invited by their Senegalese friends during Tabaski and other occasions.
So now I’m curious: Is it rare for Senegalese people to invite non-Senegalese friends to these kinds of moments? Or am I just overthinking this completely?
I’d honestly love to experience those moments with friends someday because they seem really warm and meaningful.
