First time desoldering and soldering on a joystick.

Joystick from the Backbone One, used a desoldering pump and some 2mm wick with some flux that i got a long time ago, leaded cynel solder 60/40.

I hate the tiny I tip that came with the T12X, this was just a test before putting a new one into my valve index controller, decided to wait for the geeboon tc22 because i just can't risk it with this tip, I'll live with the broken one a little longer :)

(we do not talk about the last photo, I couldn't get it to be a nice ball, all the solder just kept sticking to the tip.)

First soldering station making weird noises and... sending voltage through the tip?

Got a new T12X Plus, my first soldering station actually, I've always been rocking a 2$ aliexpress iron with which I've destroyed my racing wheel when trying to replace a rj12 port. not fun.

It's making this weird ticking noise though and uh i noticed it lights up the LED, can anyone explain and should i be worried? I was only desoldering the LED's from my home server because they were too bright at night.

S26 Ultra has terrible signal compared to my OnePlus Nord 4 - anyone else?

Been using the S26 Ultra for about 3 months now and one thing has been bothering me since day one, the signal is noticeably worse than my old Nord 4, even in the same spots.

Today was a good example: I was outside trying to message someone and look something up, and my messages wouldn't send at all, but I was still receiving them just fine. Pages wouldn't load either. My Nord 4 in the same location worked no problem.

Love the phone otherwise, display is insane, performance just amazing, but this is genuinely making it hard to use outside. Anyone else running into this? Is it a known issue or could it be something on my end?
