This is one of the best tribute shows that AEW has ever produced. It really showed what Pac truly meant to the AEW Locker room. RIP Pac/Neville/Adrian Neville.
Everything about this show was good. Ospreay and Ricochet had a banger match (might be their best match yet), Bryan Danielson made his return, and you know it's serious when Kenny Omega shows up. The video at the end was just beautiful. It really showed who Pac truly was. Both inside and outside the ring. Rest in peace, Pac/Neville/Adrian Neville 🕊
New Year's Evolution. 'Nuff Said
I just realized that every cover star since WWE 2K22 has lost at WrestleMania. What do you guys think? Am I crazy?
Om Smackdown, Gunther continues to complain to Nick Aldis about not getting a title match. Nick Aldis, of course, doesn't do so. Gunther is then angry and starts a fit. But then, someone stares and scoffs at him. That person is Tyler Bate. Perhaps looking disappointed. Gunther ignores him as he walks away.
Next week, it happens again. Gunther complains, Nick Aldis rejects, Gunther is mad. Tyler bate shows up again, still looking at him. Gunther then insults him and tells Tyler to stop staring at him. Gunther walks away
Next week, again, it happens again. This time, Tyler Bate looks at him, and Gunther is pissed. He grabs Tyler and asks why he's staring at him. Tyler then laughs and asks to follow him.
Tyler Bate takes Gunther to an old abandoned wrestling school. Tyler Bate reveals why he was staring at him all week
Tyler Bate: This isn't the Gunther that I had history. The old Gunther was bold and disciplined. This new one is just a brat
Gunther: I have no time for this. I have a championship match that Nick has refused to give him. What you're doing is a waste of my time
Tyler Bate: Alright, since you're "championship material," why don't you face me in this ring?
Gunther: Your funeral
Gunther and Tyler Bate decide to train in the old wrestling school. So far, Tyler Bate is getting the upper hand. His wrestling ability has improved since he was in AAA. This makes Gunther mad, and he gives 110% of himself.
Gunther is now being aggressive in the ring. His chops break the sound barrier, His submission moves are painful, His presence is intimidating.
Gunther: I AM DER RING GENERAL, GUNTHER!!
Tyler Bate: Now this is the Gunther I know.
A couple of weeks later on Smackdown, CM Punk issues an open challenge for his Undisputed WWE Championship after a successful night on Crown Jewel. He's then interrupted by the NEW IMPERIUM. GUNTHER, TYLER BATE, PETE DUNNE, JOHNNY GARGANO, AND CANDICE LERAE. (Tyler Bate had invited other wrestlers to join in on the training). Gunther accepts the open challenge.
In the main event of that same night, GUNTHER BEATS CM PUNK. His reign of terror has begun.
A week later, SAMI ZAYN then complains to Nick Aldis about how Gunther gets a shot after not being on Smackdown for weeks because of training. He then sees Johnny Gargano walking with Imperium and tries to talk to him. Gargano pushes him away and tells Sami never to talk to him again. Sami is concerned
Later, Gunther does a promo alongside Imperium and says that no one will be able to take his title away. Sami Zayn shows up, and he tries to talk with Gargano. Gunther has an idea. Gunther makes a deal with Sami that if Sami beats Gargano, Sami will get a title shot. If he fails, he fails.
Eventually, Sami beats Gargano. Gunther is impressed. At Survivor Series, Sami Faces Gunther for the Title. Sami tries his best, but Gunther gets the better of him and retains his title.
Imperium goes on a winning streak. Every week on Smackdown, Gunther successfully defends his title, Tyler and Pete Dunne tear the house down in the tag division and win the titles, Gargano is US Champion and Candice is supporting Gargano.
Gunther decides that he will never defend his Undisputed WWE Championship again. Nick Aldis interrups
Nick Aldis: You can't do this!!
Gunther: Who can stop me?
Nick Aldis: I will
We get a rematch of Gunther vs. Nick Aldis at the ROYAL RUMBLE. NIck even puts his career on the line. Unfortunately for Nick, Gunther retains his title. The crowd shows their appreciation for Nick Aldis and thanks him.
So the question is, Who beats Gunther?
During the royal rumble, number 30 is 10 seconds away. Who comes out? A RETURNING ILJA DRAGUNOV. HE THEN WINS THE ROYAL RUMBLE.
And at WrestleMania 43, we get ILJA VS GUNTHER FOR THE TITLE. THE REST IS HISTORY.
I thought it looked neat, especially the WrestleMania arenas. But what do you think?
I just thought of an idea of how 2K can expand the Create an entrance mode. By adding crowd chants. There should be an option to add crowd chants for the entrance for your caw. Especially the way upcoming stars are getting over by the crowd.
Selections can include the Cody Rhodes Woah!, Seth Rollins Singing, OTC, Oba singing chants with the "HOO", Bron breakker barks, WHOOP THAT TRICK!, etc.
They can also include generic and preset chants like "THIS IS AWESOME," "HOLY SH**," "YOU SUCK," "SOSA, SOSA", "WE WANT TRUTH", etc.
Any Thoughts?
WWE fumbled my GOAT Ilja Dragunov. We didn't even get a main roster feud between him and Gunther. I hope he goes to AEW and has some of the greatest matches.
If he does go to AEW, I better see the following:
ILJA VS OSPREAY
ILJA VS OMEGA
ILJA VS MOXLEY
ILJA VS FLETCHER
ILJA VS OKADA
ILJA VS TAKESHITA
I hope he does well
Not being able to sprint is one thing that I can take, but not being able to do reversals kinda makes it annoying for me. When I'm on MyFaction, the purple bar just keeps on coming back for me over and over again as I'm playing. Idk, maybe it's just me. I just feel like it's another stun bar that's repetitive
Made Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and Oba Femi in WWE 2K19. They look good, don't they?
I know my CAWs aren't the best, but do be kind 😭😭🙏
Four simple words: SHOULD BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY.
Took me almost 30 years to get Batista '02
This man, Buddy Rogers, is literally the FIRST WWE Champion, and I feel like almost no one has ever acknowledged what he's done. Obviously, he's in an era that goes way back in the 60s and can be quite forgetful, but we're all familiar with someone like Bruno Sammartino, who was in that same era. I just feel like Buddy Rogers should be in the conversation of WWE Legends, but what do y'all think?
I think Johnny TV (aka John Morrison, Johnny Elite, Johnny Nitro, Johnny Caballero, Johnny Mundo, Johnny Fusion, Johnny Impact, John Hennigan, etc.) should be pushed more. The man is criminally underrated in the ring, and I would like him to be a world champion or at least a singles champion (the TNT championship fits him). But what do y'all think?
