Found the little guy at the flea last weekend to pair with its heavy duty big brother. Commonly known as 'Peanut' but not a lot of other info I can find, might be US Glass as they have some similar looking patterns. It looks like there's a few other sizes out there to collect as well.
Hi all, I've been lurking here for a while and getting close to making a decision, had a few questions I'm hoping you can answer as the Ford salesmen wasn't knowledgeable. I test drove an 2.0l ecoboost XL and deciding between it and an XLT. I may have waited too long as dealer inventory is low in my area, presumably the current employee pricing incentive is pretty attractive on these.
Driving modes: I didn't see any feature to change to eco/sport/normal mode. Did I miss the button or is this only available in certain packages?
Tail gate lock: Is this not included by default? I see a $50 option in the build page for 'Tail Gate Lock - Dealer installed option'. The XL I drove had a key lock on the tail gate, and no option added to the sticker. It also seemed to have electric door locks controlled by key fob, is this standard?
I've never owned a pick up before, I see the XLT includes 10 'tie down' points and the XL has 6. I understand I can add additional hardware to the XL, but how easy is this to get done? I do plan to use the bed to transport furniture, lumber, bicycles etc, are 4 more tie downs helpful?
The Ford build site appears to have removed AWD and 4k tow package for the XL 2.0L model. I do see XL's out on the dealer lots with these features, which I want, but it seems I can't order from the factory. AWD/4k tow is still available on Hybrid 2.5l. Is this a permanent change, in which case I should order an XLT, or maybe they've stopped building them and moving to 2027 models? The dealer XL inventory in my area has other features that I don't want, like 7 year hotspot connectivity ($745), thus I may order direct.
