Does anyone know if Abilify can cause insomnia? My psychiatrist is convinced the reason I only get like 3-4 hours of sleep a night (and rarely 5-6 hours but it’s broken) for the last 6 years while I’ve been on the Abilify 400mg injection is due to my crappy sleep hygiene. Before I started the Abilify I mostly slept fine. The medication has been a godsend for maintaining my bipolar disorder though. I also gained a lot of weight on the medication which my psychiatrist told me was normal.

Should I just stop taking the injection? Like what’s the worst thing that can happen other than becoming manic once awhile again? I mean, my manic episodes were really bad because I suffered from psychosis in them, and got into trouble with the law a lot. I don’t know what to do. The insomnia is killing me as it’s affecting my ability to function properly. But then again, my manic episodes also affected my ability to function. I’ve tried seroquel and it just doesn’t work for me, that medication just makes me drowsy without actually getting me to fall asleep faster and stay asleep.

Hello everyone. I just finished my Psychology major, and I am almost finished my Physiology minor. I literally do not know what to do for my second minor. I tried to email my registrar but was ignored (lol). I usually do well with memorization heavy courses. I tried taking a course (HPS202) for the Science, Technology and Society minor, and even though I did well in the course, the concepts in it were way too confusing for me and there was too much reading each week to do, and after reading the concepts for other courses in that minor, I do not think I will do well.

I was thinking about doing a minor in Art History because I grew up really enjoying art and was an artist in a past-life, but I fear that there is going to be a lot of reading with advanced vocabulary in those courses that I would not do well in them. Can someone shed some light on this minor or suggest another minor I could do?

PS. I am avoiding the biology minor because I absolutely despise labs. I also do not mind some reading, but I do not want to read over 30 pages a week.

Long story short, I went to UofT in 2009 and dropped out in 2012, then I returned in 2022 hoping to finish my degree. The thing is, since then I have only been able to do one course a semester, but I’ve passed all of them with really high marks. It’s weird because back in 2009 I was able to do first year full-time, although, I failed a full credit first year course and the rest of the courses I completed were in the 60s at the time. I have 14.0 credits completed (my major is finished, all my breadth courses are done, and now I just need to focus on my minors) and I want to take more courses but due to mental health issues I can’t handle more than a course a semester. The commute to Toronto is also brutal for me because I’m over an hour away by bus and going more than once a week downtown would burn me out. That means it will take me 6 more years to complete my undergrad and my family is fuming because I’m already 35 and not getting any younger. I’m just feeling hopeless!

I don’t know if I should just forget about school forever or just continue really slowly.

I just bought a brand-new Xbox Series X because I feel like the upcoming year will have a lot of great games coming for it (Tomb Raider, ILL, Resident Evil, Tides of Annihilation, Hunter the Reckoning: Deathwish, GTA6, etc...), but part of me has buyers remorse because I am coming from a PlayStation 4 Pro. I loved the exclusives on the PS4 Pro (albeit, I only played them once through and never again), however, the reason why I did not opt for a PS5 this generation is because none of the exclusives on that platform interested me and Xbox offered better value: free cloud saves, quick resume, a more comfortable controller. For the record, none of the Xbox exclusives ever interested me either, I am not a fan of competitive FPS. My fear is that Sony will drop an exclusive in the future that I will be interested in and I fear I won't be able to play it, although, that hasn't happened yet.

Has anyone switched from PlayStation to Xbox and not regretted it?

For anyone in Canada who wants to pre-order the collectors edition for Legacy of Atlantis, it just went up online on the EB Games Canada website.

I am a part-time mature student who just finished their Psychology major, working on a Physiology minor, and undecided on my second minor. I was thinking about picking up an Immunology minor (if I get in) because I did so well in IMM250, but the thing is, I have not taken first year biology in over 15 years (I am continuing a degree I dropped out of in 2012). I don’t remember anything about biology, I had someone send me their BIO230 notes and was already stressing out after the first two pages because I had to google several basic terms like “nucleus”, “eukaryote”, and “golgi apparatus”. It was kinda embarrassing. And I heard that BIO230 also has labs, which I also have not done in close to two decades. So I wouldn’t know where to begin with using the different instruments. Can someone be honest with me and tell me whether or not I should take BIO230 and do an immunology minor? I just don’t know if I would do well in it.

I feel dumb for asking this, but it's something I always wondered. Both franchises have had their ups and downs in terms of games and media but Resident Evil has become way more popular over the years than Tomb Raider. Even Resident Evil's reboot (7) got way more popular than Tomb Raider's reboot (2013) and both franchises had a long hiatus before those reboots happened (not counting spin-offs). I mean, just look at the amount of members in the Resident Evil sub-reddit versus the Tomb Raider sub-reddit, the difference is HUGE.

Second: There isn't as much toxicity I find in the Resident Evil fan-base, unlike the Tomb Raider fan-base, which is also something I have also wondered.
