Too few prepared spells for wizards?

I'm playing a wizard and recently reached level 3. I also have a druid and a cleric in the party.

It feels somewhat bad that they each get 4 subclass spells and I don't. I'm stuck with 6 preparations, they also get 6 +4 from the sublass.

I've compared the class progression and my Wizard won't start catching up before level 14.

Is there something I'm missing?

Summon Dragon as mount - question about initiative

I'm playing a bladesinger and would love to ride a summoned dragon into battle. I would also love to optimize single target melee damage by making my own attacks and let the dragon do its attacks.

According to the spell description:

"In combat, the creature shares your Initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours."

This creates problems when we first need to move to attack.

If I use the dragon as controlled mount, we have a shared turn but it can only dodge or dash.

If I use the dragon as independent mount, I would need to ready my attack, blocking multiattack and bonus action attacks.

Is there any way to solve this problem RAW?

Would it be overpowered if the intelligent summoned dragon would be able to choose doing its turn before mine? (Especially considering that "summon dragon" usually isn't considered a top tier spell with huge DPS potentia anywayl)
