My wife is leaving for 6 weeks when my parents are planning to stay 12 weeks with us
Ok so we live in Spain and both our parents live in US. So this summer her mom stayed with us 2 months, as my job is hybrid I was ok with it. My wife is an online psychotherapist and can work anywhere in the world.
My parents which are very old are coming from 15th oct till 15th January. I love them very much and I come from a loving family but my wife is a very reserved person and told me she wants to go to her mom house for 6 weeks in the US that way she can feel more relaxed and not overwhelmed.
I’m mad about it because I stayed with her mom and my parents could take that as an offense. I know it’s too much time but one of my parents is kinda sick and this months are truly special for me and I told her that but she doesn’t care and has the need to vouch for herself this time.
I don’t know what to do, 6 weeks without my wife is too much time but she is decided to leave for that time and then come back. And is tearing me apart.
Tl;dr: parents are visiting for a long time and wife is leaving some weeks to relax herself and I feel abandoned by her.
