I cried out of happiness

For the first time have finally beat my addiction to weed. And I do say beat. In one day I did it. It took me ten freaking years, but I finally found out WHY I was smoking in the first place. I have major depressive disorder. I told my doctor I wanted to quit. She prescribed me a medication to help with my serotonin levels.

I was afraid of medication somehow while smoking my lungs out for 10+ years. She helped me break it down, and I felt rather safe taking it.

I was scared for two weeks then finally said ok f it and went for it. An hour later, my cravings went away and I felt RELIEVED AND CONTENT for the first time since I was a child. Like something lifted off my shoulders. Was it really that easy all along? I felt so silly for wasting 10 years.

If anything happens I’ll update again. But this has been the most successful I’ve felt in quitting weed.

UPDATE: it’s been 5 days. The first night I went through withdrawal (it was hard to sleep and my brain was buzzing, peed like 10 times.) after that night, no sleep problems and regular bathroom use. The cravings are still gone. I’m just sensitive to any consumables that can alter the way I feel. Like caffeine, kombucha, alcohol. It’s been a 9/10 experience so far. Will update after the 3 week to 3 month period.
