Disocactus ackermannii inflorescence

My Disocactus ackermannii has flowered for the first time in my care and did confirm that it's the true species. It's recognizable by the non-white stigma.

Beaucarnea guatemalensis

Does anyone know if the smaller, beheaded pony tails commonly available are actually Beaucarnea guatemalensis? The don't seem to have as much of a pronounced caudex and the leaves seem softer that recurvata. TIA

Beaucarnea guatemalensis

Does anyone know if the beheaded plants commonly sold at stores are actually Beaucarnea guatemalensis? I'm talking about the smaller ones with the thick, not so bottle shaped trunks and broad, softer and glossy leaves. TIA
