Angelbird for the ZR?

I was about to buy this memory card for my ZR but came across several forums about issues with it and now I feel like I’m back to square one lol. Is it just a few issues here and there or is this a well known situation???

The Odd Concern When Your Perfectly Fine Child Doesn’t Want To Eat

After weeks of my 3-year-old barely touching dinner, I had a lightbulb moment today. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, we adapted to these schedules so completely we forgot they were ever just a choice. Toddlers eat when they’re hungry with no clock needed. They’ll lose their minds demanding food one moment and dramatically refuse it the next, and honestly? That’s not a problem, that’s a working system. The friction starts the moment we layer our adult schedule on top of theirs. When they push back, we assume something is wrong with them. We spent years overriding our own hunger cues to fit 3 meals a day and then get frustrated when a small human hasn’t done the same yet. Imagine not being hungry and having the adults around you genuinely baffled and stressed about it. Must be exhausting for them lol.

$50 Single Use Alpen Fury = DUMBBB

It’s $89 for daily fast lane plus which includes unlimited fast lane for Alpen furry but .. $50 for single use fast lane? Idiotic pricing at its finest.

Doesn’t help that Six Flags puts a new “Gold Pass promo” 2 weeks after saying their gold pass promo is over and just adding extras each time😂

FX3 price drop is inevitable right?

With all these new cinema cameras launching at half the price with better specs and more modern features, I can’t really see Sony continuing to charge what they are for a 5-year-old FX3. At this point, I honestly wonder if they’ll eventually move away from the FX3 line altogether and focus more on the FX6 and higher-end cinema cameras.

Even if Sony packed an FX3 Mark II with all the features these newer competitors offer, they’d probably have to price it above the current FX3, which would immediately make the value proposition hard to justify for a lot of people.

The only way I can really see it working is if Sony significantly drops the current FX3 price and positions the Mark II around the existing FX3 price point instead. Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts.

Before the FX3 fans come at me, this isn’t anything new. Brands in this industry regularly reach that “FX3 level” of dominance, then eventually get challenged or phased out as the market evolves. That’s just the natural cycle of camera technology, and it doesn’t mean Sony is suddenly going to fall apart.

Competition like this is exactly what pushes innovation forward. It forces companies to improve, lower prices, and bring better technology to creators faster, which is ultimately a good thing for everyone!

Bye FX3? Nikon ZR seems to be creeping up the ranks..

I’ve noticed over the past several months that more and more videographers that I’ve shot music videos/weddings with have switched to the ZR.. which has honestly been quite surprising. I’ve shot alongside the ZR with my FX3 and honestly the picture coming out of the ZR with red raw is giving almost ARRI (don’t come for me, if you told me 2 years ago I was saying this about a Nikon I’d laugh in your face)

I feel the FX3 is “industry standard” because everyone who has an FX3 just says it’s industry standard and it’s hard to get off our high horse (me included)

The image coming out of red raw looks like it has much more cinematic dynamic range and with all these wedding videos coming out looking the exact same cause everyone uses Slog3 with the same grading, the ZR footage is really standing out.

I knoooow the file sizes are massive.. that isn’t really a deal breaker if you’ve shot raw before. Raw files are massive for a reason as we know.

I think Sony needs to come out with FX3 mark ii asap cause with the price comparison to the ZR, I don’t see why you’d get the FX3 if you’re just starting out. Not to mention everyone I’ve worked with using the ZR is using Sony lenses anyway and the autofocus seems unaffected using the adapter - that’s not my opinion, it’s what I’ve witnessed.

Dare I say I might switch to the ZR and have my FX3 as a B cam😂

Struggle to be “in the moment”

I’m curious if this is related to Vyvanse and if other users struggle with this. I am always focusing on what’s next rather than just enjoying or being in the present moment. Whatever I’m doing, whether it’s pure leisure or not, I’m just thinking about what I have to do after .. all the way until bed. It’s upsetting cause I can’t just enjoy playing with my kids or going out to dinner.

Anyone else relate to this?

I know any sort of crash is inevitable with ADHD meds but has anyone had any success with adding an antidepressant to their treatment to stop the mood swings/flat low moments? Something to just add some stability?

For added context, I’m a 32 year old male in excellent shape. My nutrition is something I take pretty seriously and I always make sure to hydrate throughout the day. I say this because I know a lot will bring up nutrition and stuff which makes total sense because a lot of people are malnourished and feel awful but blame it on the medication.

I’m a dad of 2 toddlers and so I rarely ever sleep more than 6-7 hours a night but last night I was able to get in 9 hours (it’s easily been over a year since doing that and I haven’t been on Vyvanse for that long) and after an hour of taking my Vyvanse, it’s like I’ve been blasted into space on a rocket ship😂 I’m assuming getting a full night sleep is the reason for it hitting harder than ever before but damnnn.. I wouldn’t even say it’s enjoyable at this point it’s kind of overwhelming but I’m laughing through it. Anyone else experience this? (Also, me even writing this post is an example of how strong it is cause whenever it hits harder than normal I just like to jump on forums and read/message lol)

I might sound crazy here because my kids are 3 and 1 and they absolutely love and adore me, I’m their best friend and I love it. I obviously know one day I won’t be that for them and I know I did a good job as a parent if they don’t need me for everything as hard as it will be lol. I get emotional sometimes thinking about my daughter no longer wanting to walk to the mailbox with me or just running to hug me because right now it just brings me lifeeeee. I have plenty of time till then but I’m wondering if anyone would like to share their experiences with their kids growing out of that stage and what it was like and if it is as emotionally rough as I’m imagining it to be.

It’s one of the biggest struggles for me to get the front view angle during ceremonies. Of course I move around with my other camera and ensure I’m in the middle during first kiss ext. - but I mean setting up the ongoing shooting of that angle?
