I’m curious! I feel like there’s a lot of contenders.

For me right now I’d say the saddest lyric is

“I regret you
And how long I stayed”

It’s simple but so heartbreaking genuinely brings tears to my eyes. Regret is also an emotion I struggle with a lot so maybe that’s why this lyric felt like such a gut punch to me. It’s so relatable.
