Do you think Ireland has lost it's individuality?

As I have grown up (now in my 20s) and have done my own research to form opinions, ideologies, views on certain political things etc. I can't help but notice how a lot of people form theirs. I'm not talking about WHAT they are. But more so their reasoning behind them and their attitude towards anyone who "dare" disagree.

It seems the majority of Irish people pick their side based on what the popular take is. Maybe it's to fit in, maybe it's to virtue signal or maybe its a reputation thing. In other words in the hopes that people say "Ah look at Ireland there supporting x, my god aren't they brilliant" But if you ask any Irish person the rationale for their opinions I think they'll be lost for words. They just follow the masses.

Again, then if anyone stands out, disagrees, forms their own opinions that it becomes this Americanised mentality of WW3 needing to brew. No nuance. Victim complexes being flung around and trying to take morale high grounds. Just makes you think.

Women are worse drivers because they have zero spatial awareness.

I'm not saying men aren't bad drivers, they are. But I feel like when men are being bad drivers, they are AWARE of it, they are just consciously choosing to be assholes.

But with women, they have no idea what's going on around them. They could have had caused a pile up, people beeping at them and just be looking dead eye ahead, both hands on top of the steering wheel and staring into space.

Women lack spatial awareness, it can be shocking. Whether it's in stores, out walking on footpaths, blocking entrances etc. This absolutely translates into driving. Women have no peripheral vision when driving and it makes them a huge liability.

Why do people go mad at women driving SUVs?

For what it's worth, I'm a lad in my 20s who drives a golf, so I have no bias. I see people on here constantly giving out about "soccer moms" who drive SUVs when they don't need a car that big. I honestly don't know why it affects them so much? If they are not driving dangerously, who cares?

Why does what car they drive affect you? You could use that logic lots of ways "Why does this person need a high powered BMW when they aren't allowed drive that fast", "Why does this person drive a pickup truck when they don't need it" etc.

Just live your life like?

So many of you acting as if you didn't have the money that you wouldn't buy one? It's pure jealousy

People who make up their own slower speed limits shouldn't be on the road

You can't just decide "Oh the speed limit is 50/60/80/100 but I'm gonna drive 30/30/50/80. If you're THAT unconfident and nervous that you are not safe to be on the roads and many of these people absolutely drive erratically.

You cannot make your own speed limits, either drive to the limit when safe to do so as you should or stay off the roads.

Before the "what about" brigade come out too - I'm talking about when it makes no sense to drive slower. Ignoring the possibility of poor visibility, poor weather, obstructions, road conditions etc.

Just heard someone say a car has a better "soul" than another

It was about a Tesla vs BMW. Someone said the Tesla had better performance, features etc. and the other guy replied "But the BMW has more soul"

Sorry but the BMW guy could have start shifting the face off another fella and it still wouldn't be as a gay as what he just said

What is the consensus with Audi vs BMW vs Merc?

I drive neither of these, I drive a 2020 Focus. But I have always wondered what do drivers of these cars look like in the eyes of the others. For instance does BMW feel superior to one and inferior to the other? Does Audi feel inferior to both? Does Merc feel superior to both?

Would love to know the thought process there. Or do all 3 feel superior to the others lol?

Can people please use cop on with their dogs?

The amount of idiots I have seen the past few days walking their dogs. Idiots of the highest order. Think "Ah its a lovely day, i'll go for a stroll with the dog" and not taking into consideration the dogs well being at all. I saw someone today walking a 4 month old puppy (who are anyway only supposed to get a 20 min walk) in the middle of town in 26 degree weather.

If the temperature is 21 or higher, you are supposed to limit walks to morning and late evenings IF IT IS COOL ENOUGH. If you bring your dog out, no matter for 10 mins, they are at high risk of heatstroke and their paws will be getting seared on the concrete.

You can go a few days with entertaining the dog at home, they don't always need to get out. Please use your brains.

EDIT: The amount of people arguing against me as if they actually want to torture their dogs. Absolute idiots of the highest order and should have their dogs taken off them.
