Bay area surgeons

Desperate. Looking for recommendations. Hello, long time lurker and hoped to never have to post-er.

I have an anterior open bite and have been recommended bimaxillary surgery. I have one scheduled for later this year, but looking for more local suggestions. Being in the Bay Area (CA) it comes as quite the shock that I would need to travel hours away and rent a long stay in a strange place and also drag along a mandated caretaker for the extended follow ups etc. for my situation this is proving to be extremely inconvenient and likely not feasible.

It's been a weird experience with trying to communicate with Dr. Brad Williams office in Walnut Creek - but I reached out to them because I see he is mentioned a few times here. My orthodontist apparently trusts absolutely no one and refuses to give me any other referrals. Concerning.

Does anyone here know a good surgeon with experience? And if they are from Kaiser, do you know if non-Kaiser insured folks can still get a consult?
