My husky is now starting to respond to “SELFIE”. Here’s proof from today
Husky suddenly terrified of traffic in the last 2 weeks — pulls like she's running the Iditarod until we reach the car
She's never had an issue with this before. Then about two weeks ago something just flipped. The second she hears a loud bike (modified Royal Enfield silencers are the worst offenders) she locks in and starts pulling toward the car like there's a sled and a finish line. Doesn't stop, doesn't listen, full sled-dog mode until she's inside. The moment the door shuts she's completely fine, like nothing happened.
Nothing else in her routine changed that I can think of, and I didn't witness any scary incident that kicked it off.
For those who've had a husky suddenly get noise-sensitive as an adult — did it pass on its own, or did counter-conditioning actually work for you? Trying to decide whether to just manage it (avoid busy roads at peak hours) or actively work on desensitizing her. She's otherwise her usual dramatic, vocal self.
