Will Singapore end up becoming Ba Sing Se?🤣

  1. There Is No Housing Problem in SG Housing becomes increasingly expensive, while the official conversation focuses on how Singapore remains one of the world’s most liveable cities.
  2. Singaporeans Are Doing Fine Cost of living rises, work becomes more competitive and young people delay major milestones but publicly, everyone is expected to remain optimistic and adaptable.
  3. “Please Get Married and Have Lots of Kids” Marriage and parenthood are increasingly promoted with more benefits and incentives tied to having children, while single men and women can sometimes feel like they are watching from the sidelines. Meanwhile, bringing a child into today’s economy is no small decision, it comes with housing costs, childcare, education, time and years of financial responsibility. The incentives may help, but are they enough to make having a child genuinely affordable?

Holy downgrade

I can't believe I've been rooting for the wrong side this whole time. Despite his immaturity, Aegon has proven to be a far more competent ruler of the Seven Kingdoms than Rhaenyra.

I was rooting for Rhaenyra from day one, and I'm not even a book reader. I loved her courage in Season 1, especially when she killed the wild boar. It showed bravery, resilience, and made me believe she was the rightful heir.

But Season 3 has completely changed my view of her. The fearless woman we saw in Season 1 is nowhere to be found. Instead of acting like a capable queen, she seems consumed by vengeance and obsessed with killing her enemies. Keeping the manipulative Mysaria as her closest advisor only makes her look like an impulsive ruler who lets her emotions and desires cloud her judgment, rather than someone who thinks strategically for the good of the realm. SHE IS UNWORTHY.

GRRM was right, this show is doomed.

Ryan Condal really is a terrible writer. I'm so disappointed with the dialogue it feels like watching a soap opera. I've reached the point where I skip scenes because they're so badly written, especially the Rhaenyra and Alicent scenes or Daemon abusing Ulf, which makes it painfully obvious what's going to happen next.

The script quality is awful. Changing so much from the books has made so many characters feel completely out of character. This is supposed to be HBO's best, yet we only get one or two great episodes while the rest are filled with weak dialogues and lazy writing. Season 2-3 is pure horse shit except for battle of the gullet and queens landing.

Every time GTA game releases and Spain wins the World Cup. Man United went on winning the Premier League. Is #21 finally here?

  • 1997: GTA 1 dropped and Man United won the Premier League.
  • 1999: GTA 2 was released during United's iconic treble-winning season.
  • 2001: GTA 3 came out and United lifted the title again.
  • 2008: GTA 4 launched during a massively successful era for the club.
  • 2010: Spain won their first World Cup, and Man United lifted the 2010/11 Premier League title right after.
  • 2013: GTA 5 arrived, which was Sir Alex Ferguson's final season and the last time United became English champions.
  • 2026: GTA 6 releases 2026 and Spain are World Champions again, is #21 coming home?

Am I cooked? CPF OA only 15k at 27?

I have about 15k in my Ordinary Account and 10k in my MediSave. Due to my chronic illness and the lengthy recovery after surgery, I wasn't able to work consistently for long time. Although I've built up an emergency fund and have a decent amount of savings but I feel owning a home in Singapore feels like it's become out of reach or too late for me.

Can Manchester United really win the Premier League by 2028 with this squad?

  • Manchester United's Project 150 It's a great ambition, but does anyone genuinely think it's achievable with this squad? Our rivals have already made life difficult this transfer window by strengthening early, while every top prospect seems to cost £100m or more in today's market, it feels like a impossible task. Unless we bring in another 6 or 7 quality players over the next couple of transfer windows, I just don't see it happening.
  • Man City don't look like they're getting punished anytime soon, and every year they somehow get even stronger. They've already signed Elliot Anderson. Their squad depth is ridiculously good compared to us.
  • Arsenal are the champions now, and success attracts players. I can see more top players joining them because they know they'll be competing for trophies every season. If they keep recruiting well, they'll probably win the double or treble.
  • Liverpool still have a good squad, but I don't think they're built for the future like City or Arsenal. Defensively they don't look as solid, and Van Dijk turns 35 next year. Replacing a player like him won't be easy.
  • Chelsea most of their signings haven't worked out so far. They were disappointing last season, but with Alonso coming in and playing one game a week with Chelsea's depth, I can see them improving and fighting for a Champions League spot.

As for United, we're just nowhere near the other top teams in terms of squad depth. In midfield we've got Mainoo, Bruno, Ugarte(ACL injury), and Mount(injury prone). That's simply not enough to compete over a 38-game season, and with UCL football we are cooked this season if we don't invest heavily this window.
