This feels kind of like the simracing equivalent of audiophile snake oil products lol
I was sincerely looking for some (surely overpriced) racing shoes with a thin sole since I need to wear shoes for comfort but have very slim clearance between my knees and wheel deck, but seeing this gave me a giggle. Surely this is not an appreciable difference versus racing in any standard athletic socks for sockracing enjoyers.
I know I could get water shoes or something like that but a lot of racing shoes seem to have extra padding behind the heel which seems useful and somewhat justifies it as a bespoke product. Interested in any recommendations anyone may have. I'm currently using some generously broken-in running shoes that were not originally for this purpose and I love them but they are falling apart and I'm not trying to wear down a brand-new pair of cushiony athletic shoes for my purpose.
