Beware of Noom if you're only *thinking* about trying it
I'm in the middle of perimenopause, gaining the weight that comes from this time of life and during one of my many sleepless nights, checked out Noom hoping that it would help me lose weight. So I signed up. It that required me to provide a credit card and despite the fact that I still needed to visit with a doctor and have a prescription made for me didn't think they would charge me until that happened. I changed my mind a few days later after reading the side effects and despite not having spoken to one of their doctors or having a prescription sent to me, they still charged me $129. I went through cycles talking to someone over the course of two months believing I would get refunded but in the end lost the money.
