I AM SPEECHLESS....
Just finished watching Punjab 95, and yes, I will always call it by its original name.
I wouldn't call this film cinematic or entertaining. It feels like watching a powerful document of what happened to Mr. Jaswant Singh Khalra, a man who gave his life fighting for those who suffered during that dark chapter.
Diljit Dosanjh, that dream sequence with Kuljit completely broke me. I literally cried watching your performance. You didn't just play Jaswant Singh Khalra, you became him. Suvinder Vicky was, as always, outstanding, and the rest of the cast delivered brilliant performances as well.
A special mention to Honey Trehan for refusing to accept the Central Board of Film Certification's demand for 120 cuts and making sure this story finally reached the audience.
This story deserved to be heard, and this film gives it that voice. My deepest respect to Mr. Jaswant Singh Khalra and everyone who stood beside him.
Everyone should watch this film.
