Is this screen burn? Is it necessary to replace the screen or there's a software fix?

25M Math Grad / Stats Dropout – "Resetting" after a year of travel. Help me choose a career field (1-3 years roadmap).

Hi everyone,

I’m 25, based in Morocco, and I hold a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics. I started a Master’s in Statistics a year ago but dropped out due to a difficult mental health period. I’ve spent the last 14+ months traveling and essentially "doing nothing" professionally while I recovered.

I am now in a much better place and ready to commit the next 1-3 years to building a high-level career. My goal is a good salary and a field with long-term stability.

I am currently confused about which field/job to target. Here is my profile:

Strengths: Strong theoretical Math and Statistics foundation.

Interests: I love Hardware and Logic. I enjoy specialized PC/mobile hardware setups and technical analysis (I’ve done this in crypto for profit, but I’m not interested in a "crypto career").

The Plan: I have 1-3 years to train. I am willing to pay for high-quality courses or a new degree if needed. I’ve thought about the Georgia Tech OMSA program once, but I'm open to other paths.

Location: I am open to relocating to Singapore, China, Europe (Germany/Netherlands), or the UAE for an English-taught Master’s and settling there. Alternatively, I am happy staying in Morocco if I can work remotely for a global company.

My Questions for you:

Given my Math background + Hardware/Logic interest, which specific job fields should I look into? (e.g., Yield Engineering, Reliability, Operations Research, or pure Data Science?)

How do I explain my 1-year "mental health and travel" gap to recruiters or university admissions in these regions?

If you had 2 years and an applied Math degree, which "Elite" niche would you pick to guarantee a high salary in the current 2026 market?

Thank you!
