Inlocuire baterie Samsung S23

Games getting glitchy or hanged at some points?

After this 8.5 update, some of the games i used to play very smoothly are having such issues. I have mailed the devs but they are still not sure about it as I cleared my cache, restarted phone, checked internet and everything but not found any cause.

This screen is my nightmare

Every time this screen shows up, I feel like they're about to mess with something I actually use. Either it'll hide a setting, move a menu, or add some feature that's just going to eat my battery.

I'm all for new tech, but the last few years have been nothing but relearning where everything is. Want to turn something on or off? Now I have to dig through settings because they changed it again. Funny thing is, it's actually made me use my phone less.

There was a time when seeing this screen meant something cool was coming. Now it just makes me wonder what they're going to mess with next.

Is it worth changing my battery?

I have around 1100 cycles and 95% battery health on my base s23. I get a pretty bad SOT with pretty light usage and low performance mode on. 120hz, no low power mode, manual brightness and 4g

One month after first post

Device - S23

1st post - https://www.reddit.com/r/Scamsunged/s/B7vqFIbuTo

" These all started after a single One UI 8 update, and it didn't happen all at once — it gradually got worse every day.

There's not a single scratch on my phone and I have used it with a case from the day I bought it .
I don't remember it falling down for even ones.
The cracked part on screen is screen guard , which was cracked not even from falling on the ground , but from slightly hitting on the table , which I didn't even notice at first .
it broke two week after the green line started showing up so that is not the cause .

I don't game on my phone , or do any intense tasks . I just use it for calling , texting and 1 - 2 hrs of instagram or other social media apps .

To the people saying its not because of update and it because of my usage, are you saying that the so called flagship s23 cant even handle these tasks "

Now the battery is swelling?

I didn't even use the phone that much in the last month [ Have a secondary phone ]
My sister uses it sometimes [ listening to music and stuff ]
Never was in a switched off state

What's next for us?

Option 1. Hold on to it, maybe replace the battery.

Option 2. Switch to chinese (find x9 or x300 fe), bigger battery, ass ui and good cameras ig.

Option 3. Switch to apple, 17 offers less mah but has better optimization?

Option 4. Wait , but for what?

S23 froze then shut off and won't turn on

My 3.5 year old S23 (bought in Feb '23) seems to have died today. Everything was normal until I unlocked the phone, 2 seconds later it froze with a few visual artifacts, then it went black. It's been an hour and it still won't respond to any button combinations. It does light up any charger I plug it into (wired or wireless). It did the latest security update about 2 days ago. According to Life360, the phone had ~43% battery.

Anyone have any advice or a similar experience?

Samsung India denied free screen replacement, how much should i pay for the screen replacement??

So, the last 10 days have been very stressful. A green line came out of nowhere, and Samsung first denied my request for a screen replacement. Then I tweeted on X, after which they asked me to create a job sheet and said they would get it done.

So I contacted the service center, and they asked me to bring the original box and bill with me. (I am currently doing my summer training and am about 150 km away from my house, so one of my friends traveled all the way here to give me the box and the bill.)

On Monday, I gave my phone to the service center. The guy said the phone would stay with them until the repair was done. (As I said earlier, I am currently doing my summer training, so I had to put my SIM card in a guy's phone who is living in the same PG as me, and I had to make all my calls via WhatsApp from my laptop.) ( when the guy sent me the job-sheet he mentioned normal wear-n-tear on one bottom corner of the phone , caused due to reputative sliding on phone cover as a "DENT ON THE METAL FRAME"

Then it was a week of constantly emailing customer support my bill, box images, and literally spending all day waiting for their call. Yesterday, they called and told me that they could not give me a free repair.

Now I am too tired to talk to customer service anymore or wait for my device to get fixed, so I am going to pay for the repair myself and never buy a Samsung again because the experience wasn't what you expect after buying a flagship phone.

I am 19, and this incident alone taught me enough about how much these corporations care about consumers. I literally fought and argued with my father and other family members when buying a Samsung. Everybody suggested I should just buy an iPhone.

Guess they were right after all.

enough ranting from my side , sorry i am just frustrated cuz i used to love my phone so much and took great care of it

so in short -

if anybody here has already replaced there display in India due to a green line, how much did you pay?
and how much should i pay? should i get it done from the authorized service center or some third party shop?also give me any advice regarding this

thanks for reading my rant , link to the post i made when the line came - https://www.reddit.com/r/S23/s/irjRSATd34

Got my s23 ultra for almost 2 weeks now and it's been amazing, especially coming from an S20 ultra.

I've been seeing some posts or is it comments saying not to update the phone.

I decided to check if there was any update and there sure is. My question now is should I install this update?

S23 screen replacement

My s23 got a green line a month before. Checked with customer care a free replacement can be done if the phone was under 3 years of purchase. I visited the store on 27th June but the service approval team was on a public holiday service personnel requested me to come another day. Yesterday 2 nd of july again I went to get the screen replacement, now the service centre informed me this offer was only active till 30 th of june. I have to pay around 11k for the new screen from my pocket for a mistake samsung made. Phone is in prefect condition still cant stand the line anymore. Left the store with my under 3 yr phone and lot of disappointment.

Contacted samsung toll free number confirmed the same 30th june the policy had ended.

Such a bad experience for me, never coming back to samsung. If you know any additional information please let me know how to handle samsung.

NB : From now on screen replacement will only be free if the phone is under warranty less that 1 year. This is the new samsung for you. For people planning to buy another Samsung beware.

Will I damage my battery faster if I use my 65w laptop charger?

So I usually just use my samsung 25w charger upto 80% charge cap. Now it's really inconvenient for me to carry three chargers , one for my laptop, another for my secondary phone which charges at 45w and my samsung charger. I'm a battery gatekeeper and want it to be on its full capacity for as long as I can. So if I charge it with my Lenovo laptop which is 65 watts which is just convenient, will it eff my battery health up? Please help me out.

My S23 battery lasts up to 4 hours of screen-on time.

I used it from 95% down to 20% batterv. I've had it for about a month, and I bought the phone used. Is the battery life about what I should expect? Is there anvthing I can do to increase the battery life?

Hey there, life long Samsung user here untill i am Samsunged on my s23 by green and pink lines. Battery have swollen too. Kind of unusable at this point. So i am thinking about shifting to anything other than samsung. Camera (photos and portraits) is my main priority along with a good battery life. My options are -

  1. Vivo X100 pro
  2. Oppo Find x6 pro
  3. Xiaomi 14 pro If you have used any of these or went these direction, give me some suggestions. Thanks!

Base S23, battery drain/SOT has been horrendous after One UI 8.5

Basically title. I've updated to One UI 8.5 some days/weeks ago, but I noticed I had TWO HOURS of screen on time yesterday and three hours today, and that was both with basic usage, mostly WhatsApp. What the hell is up with that? Anyone else experiencing something like this and/or any solutions? Because that's non acceptable. Thanks in advance, y'all.
