Sunday Project: DIY Rear Seat Delete

I wish I did this from day one! Just a quick and simple DIY seat delete. Wanted my dog to have more space on longer road trips to feel less cramped and I think this will work great. I’m sure there’s better ways of doing it but this is how I did mine. All I bought was one sheet of plywood, a 2x4 and some carpet. Cut the wood pieces to fit, then glued the carpet down, folded the edges and stapled all around it. The back piece is bolted down to where the rear seat bracket was and it holds everything down nice and tight.

2026 KLX300 Suspension upgrade for heavy rider

Installed a 7kg Cogent Dynamics rear spring and stiffer Racetech fork springs. I’m 6’4 and weigh 250 so this was a much needed upgrade for me, the bike feels so much better now!

Lift kit and wheels Installed 🙌🏼

Spent the last two days installing everything and it turned out great! The fitment is perfect 👌🏼 3 inch Bilstein 5100s with icon ADL in the rear, Bilstein upper control arms and cab mount chop. My old suspension was shot, it rides so much better now!

Test fitting my new wheels, thoughts on the fitment?

Truck is still on stock suspension, will be installing a Bilstein 3 inch lift kit next week and a cmc. Wheels are Volk TE37X in 16x8 +0 offset, I went with a 295/75R16 tire. Debating on if I should run a spacer or not 🤔

99 limited with e-locker + multimode transfer case. 220k miles. Since I know it’s gonna get asked, I let it go for $15k cash. To some, that price is insanely high but that’s what it was worth to me. When you sell your car you price it to what YOU want to get out of it, not what others tell you it’s worth. I had tons of people saying I would never get that much but you just have to wait for the right person to come along that wants it bad enough. I didn’t want to sell it but I also wasn’t gonna turn down that much cash. It went to a good home and someday I’ll be back in another one. Its been real 4Runner fam 🫶🏼
