I grew up pretty transphobic and closed off to the whole concept, now my sisters trans. How do I learn more about this??

Okay I grew up in some small ass Christian town where everyone was shitting on LGBTQ+ people so I started doing the same until I was 17 and realized that it was really wrong and stoped but I never bothered to really look into it. I’m 21 now and I have a little sister who’s 16, in February told our family he would feel more comfortable as a girl and he wants to identify as one . My parents were skeptical but weren’t against, I supported her and told her I was happy for her.
But now I’m kinda confused on how to answer her question and give advice. I’m in the marines so I live far from home so it’s not like I can really talk to her. The other day she asked me about the contact information about a MMA class I was in because she wants to join, but now I’m confused. She isn’t fully transitioned, she just dresses more feminine and goes my she/her. So would she be put with the guys or the girls? Also she asked me for advice on this guy she likes and I was kinda confused because do I give her my advice as a straight guy or do I put myself in her shoes.
I’m kinda lost I really want to learn more about all of this because I’ve never really been able to be close to her cuz of our age gap and I’m almost never home. I wanna be a reliable person.

What are some classic girl names? I can’t pick a name!

I’m changing my name because of pronunciation reasons. I’m 17 right now so I want a name that was common during the time I was born. I’ll be using my original name with family and close friends the new name is just for work and school.

Anyways I can’t find a name I really like. I want a realistic name that’s a classic but not too old. I originally liked Victoria but then I kept meeting old ladies named Victoria and it kinda made me iffy. I don’t want a name that’s super common like Olivia or Emily but I also don’t want it super underground, a good middle ground is ideal

So far I like the names

  1. Violet
  2. Liv
  3. Maeve
  4. Aurora (possible nickname Rory)
  5. Stella
  6. Scarlet
  7. Victoria

The issue is I have a problem with all these names even though they’re my favorite ones. I’m ethnically Norwegian so I really liked Liv but in America Liv is just a nickname so that makes me iffy too because I don’t wanna always explain it. Aurora is beautiful to me but most people say it’s hard to say.

Pleasee let me know if you guys have any ideas!!

Identity crisis with a name change

Idk if this is the right place to post this but it says names. When I was 16 I changed my name because my original name was way too Russian and Americans couldn’t say it, I went from Mstislav to Erik 💀. Anyways I never felt connected to either names and idk what to do. Im currently 20 and I’m in the military and none of my accomplishments feel mine since Erik got them and not Mstislav but I fucking hate that name so idk why I keep thinking about it.

Am i supposed to change my name again or what, i feel like a fraud using Erik but im not using that abomination name Mstislav ever in public either.
