Why do NRIs feel entitled to give unsolicited advice and act like they are better than the folks back home?

Every year we host our NRI relatives (they self-invite) and they treat our place as a vacation home. Sure, no problem in hosting them but then they come here, they think it’s okay to live at someone place for 10 days, compare how their kids are doing well(which is fine) and give unsolicited advice on how us kids should lead our lives. They always compare how good the culture is in US for example kids start working at the age of 18 and shit on Indian culture about how their parents help them even after 18. I get it, US is better in many ways but I am not trying to be reminded of what I could do better from a stranger who doesn’t even know me. Why do they act so preachy?

I cured my gastritis

I was on ppi for about a month and everytime I got a flare after 4-5 days. The inflammation wasn’t going away. 2 of my close ones suggested me to apply chuna (calcium hydroxide) mixed with honey on stomach and let it sit for 6-8 hours. Calcium hydroxide helps in reducing swelling. So at first I thought it was bs and then after a month when nothing worked so I tried this. My inflammation was gone in 3 days. I am still on ppi but now I don’t feel any heaviness or inflammation in my stomach.

Edit: I got so many replies on how to apply. Here’s the link: https://youtu.be/gqJbxbeBCYI?si=VikHj86ul2WjKu0X

I think sometimes when you feel like nothing is working, you try things which might help because why not. So I read somewhere that you can manifest healing and it will work. I went on Reddit to see if it has worked for others and to my surprise not one but so many have healed their chronic illness by manifesting healing. I thought let me try meditation and affirmations and I already feel better. I am going to keep doing this until I am cured.
