Welp, Gohan ball legends is now officially confirmed.

Any other time I would defend the unit when there is something worth defending.

But this?

I am beyond disappointed...

TL;DR: yeah I hate Shallet

I've done a couple of matches and am already at rank 70, and my anger and frustration with my time wasted trying this character, Shallet, is incomprehensible.

We've all heard his qualms for a billion times now, so I'll just state them in an easy format.

• Reliant on RNG, so he either makes matches way too one-sided or does absolutely nothing on his blue
• Has CONSIDERABLY lower damage/defense than other characters
• Lacks actual Type Neutral, so blue characters can ACTUALLY hurt him sometimes
• IS A FUCKING SUMMONABLE UNIT WITH REPRINTED ANIMATIONS AND COPIED ART

Now this is especially insulting because me personally, I have been waiting eagerly for this character to finally be playable for 3 and a half fucking years, especially since he sold me on actually keeping with the story of the game and helped me nurture this relationship me and this game have in bed. So to finally get him, and he turns out WORSE than of fucking course a Gohan character, is indefensible. I legit from trying to run him every match to just dropping him off my teams because I need consistency, not a 4 sided coin flip on whether or not I'll see value.

Yes, I obviously know this unit is not borderline trash. Stuff he's got that is incredibly value goes to but is not limited to:

• Easy green card generation
• Easy blue card generation
• Supporting
• Universal Buff Cancelation
• INSANE healing on big moves

But regardless of any of that, nothing this unit has feels "anniversary". Or even "special". I genuinely don't get what they were going for.

Back to Bloodborne for me.

Hunters, after finally going through and finally picking this game up again a couple months ago, I am just astonished. So astonished I hear there is a great deal about…old legends. But moreso, I’m also astonished to hear of even greater challenges. Have my eyes have yet to open still? Is there truly a boss so hard you’ll wind up as an orphan? (I’m not clever…) Is Ludwig’s boss fight as good as the song that accompanies it? Will I actually become good at this game? So many questions, so many mysteries.

And yet…
There are still more to come.

It is time for me to embark once again.

Out of all the enemies I’ve fought in Bloodborne so far this one gave me the most creeps. Then again, I’ve always been extremely terrified irl of “eyeball” only creatures (like the fucking Miracle Matter from Kirby 64…)

Second place is definitely A******* when her eyes are actually visible.

Uh, that was definitely a way to die. (Sure beats dying the other way…)

For the record, I’m very excited for this zenkai as this is one of my favorite units on this game, but I can definitely see an argument to be negative about this mainly because of these 3 things

1. They’re BLU, which is going to massively be a pain in the ass for 2GB

2. This is a character that, while exciting, could’ve been someone that needed it far more like Beast, or Revhan

So far, the 8th anniversary has been nothing short of spectacular. I know that we, the community, have endlessly bitched and complained about numerous things the game has done wrong, (especially in 2025), but so far, they’ve actually sat down, and improved on their problems.

Characters nowadays feel way more unique and fun to use, and there’s always a reason to run them. Even if we do get the typical “I do everything” character, (like a certain pink haired individual that may or may not have some people making rant videos on them cough cough DoooGote) they’re all so flashy and unique.

I definitely won’t say there’s been NO problem. The heavy disrupt vs being UNABLE to be disrupted, legend banners being brought back, (Bardock costed me 30k cc…) and overall just some other issues that still need to be addressed like a better pity system.

But regardless, everything that fraudulent disgusting horrendous part 1 of 7th anniversary did is put to shame. Every single week in this anniversary has actually mattered, because it causes players to sit down and re-strategize every week according to the new meta. On top of that, they’re actually being super generous. Getting the ability to claim a top ten character, napgeta, for FREE once a week? That’s fucking amazing dude. And now, the incoming Shallot buffs, who once again,

proves the devs know what we want and are actually listening.

Again, I’m not saying there are no bad problems, but holy shit dude. Best part 1 of all time. And that’s excluding my huge Gogeta Blue bias!
