Exterior Caulking on paint job. Siding is LP 2nd gen.
Hi- hiring a guy to paint our house. Using Benjamin Moore Aura paint. Was painted 12 years ago with the same BM paint and color. The painter usually uses Alex Flex caulk. After reading about that caulk I am thinking we may prefer something more durable. I really like Vulken 116. We recently had our windows all done with this but I hear it’s hard to work with. The painter we are hiring is mostly only comfortable with the ALEX. I am leaning OSI or titebond weathermaster. What is the best and also somewhat user friendly caulk to use in this situation? I offered to get him a tube to practice with. If I use a guy that not comfortable with anything other than ALEX , is it so difficult to work this better product that it may impact the final result?
Thanks for any other perspectives and material understanding here. Very grateful for your knowledge.
