Continental Viking Contact vs Michelin X-ice Snow + for a Bolt 2027

Same size, same price which one would you chose ?

Had conti the last 2 years on my previous car and loved them but Michelin seem to give a little bit more efficiency and better tire wear

Another white fit with peeling paint (and bitching about it)

I own this 2019 sport MT6 since January 2019. I bought it to replace a 2008 Fit sport MT5 that decide to go ejecto seato with one of her spark plug.

One of the greatest car model ever made, reliable and so much fun to drive. However as much as I still love this car, the peeling paint issue feels like a fight I don’t want to take. I know about the class action in the US but since I’m in Canada(Quebec) It can’t do shit for me.

It doesn’t look that bad at the moment but I just scratched it a little bit with a wooden tooth pick and I’m pretty sure with the right amount of time and patience I can peel the paint on the whole door. The paint also start to bubble on some spot on the roof too.

The easy solution would be to sell it to a dealer while it still worth something and leave with a brand new car but the new car matket sucks big time atm.
The other solution would be to get (ideally) a complet paint job before it start to rust badly but finding a trustworthy paint shop that won’t cut the corner is the hard part. I’m really in between right now since the car is still in great shape mechanically and doesn’t have that much of mileage (110 000 km)

Fit stalled waiting at a red light +check charging system

So this morning I was waiting at a red light and the car stalled out of nowhere. And the warning to « check charging system » come out a the same time

I tried many time to restart it whitout succes and it still have more than enough power to drive the starter as many time as I want and every electronic gadget in the car is working properly.

With the experience I had with dead battery or dead alternator in the past it honestly don’t feel like that kind of issue

What should I chek next ? Any sensor or corrosion on grounds can cause this type of issue ?
