When I read this spell I note it says this spell is cumulative in the case of a fighter/mage with shield bonus.
This implies a fighter/mage can use a shield. Historical our group has ruled shield is a type of armor and since they can't wear armor we ruled no shield.
Just wondering how others handle this. Can fighter/mage use shields?
Aasume the missile hits.
The way I read it in the Core Rulebook on page 168 a nuclear missile does 1DD damage.
On page 80 it tells me the radiation is 2D×60 rads.
We are told in the ship section of the rules a ship shields 500 rads.
So if my 2DD roll is a 9×60= 540. So that seems to mean 40 rads go into the ship. Anyone in the ship applies their vac suit next ( assume a pretty small adventure ship) to determine if their character has to accumulate rads.
Do I have that correct?
This seems to say any roll under 9 per hitting missile the reds just don't get through the hull.
Does something like a critical hit change that? Does it mean greater penetration?
I have been reading some coyns. My understanding has always been there were a total of 36. The Traveller Wiki gives the name and picture for 36. But it says the sets come in groups up to 38. Are there two beyond the 36 listed on the wiki in some of the older settings or just up to 2 repeats?
Also, there are a total of 38 gold coins you can find in Shadows so my first reaction was these can't be coyns. Add to it the description of the one skeleton of the presumed builders of the pyramids is described as reptilian not avian. But Shadows was one of the earliest adventures so I guess things could have changed.
So any thoughts on if the there are 38 unique coyns or not?
And are the builders of the pyramids droyne or some other mystery race?
I am leaning towards saying they are supposed to be droyne and coyns as my understanding has been Shadows, Research Station Gamma and Twilight's Peak are loosely related and about the droyne.
