Kato unitrack big sleeper

How do you chaps handle the centre ‘big sleeper’ ? I hate noticing it and I’m confident in my weathering when it comes to laying permanent track and hiding the joiner but is it something kato users must accept ? I wonder if you guys have any advice - feel free to post images of your own disguises

Reliable auto coupling /decoupling

I’m sure it’s been asking a million times but what do people use for reliable hands free automatic decoupling and such for shunting

I don’t have much space and can’t commit to 00 guage :(

I’ve heard good stuff about micro trains, I’m modelling British stuff but the standard couplings are so far removed from reality that a knuckle wouldn’t bother me I suppose lol

Finetrax, British finescale track with Bachman Thomas

Quite a niche question but does anyone run a Bachman Thomas on Finetrax track by British finescale ? I know they won’t tolerate the old pizza cutter but I’m not sure if they’ll accept Bachman n guage wheel flanges - as they are slightly larger that modern finescale rolling stock.

I would to like to run Thomas stuff but really want to push my modelling ability on track work and landscaping.

Cheers if u can help

Hi all I’ve finally decided to use kato for my track plan- it quite simply but I have no idea on electrical for points and such- does this layout work?

Double lines, with the inner one and a kato number 6 point onto a siding then back on again, and another point off it.

Does it make sense? Can I have so many points together like this? All help appreciated it’s my first proper layout
