To all the internet dads, please tell me you're proud of me!

Even if it's fake or forced, please tell me you're proud of me. Long story short, I got into shit with my dad but I finally stood up for myself!! It was so scary, but I pushed through even thought he had hit me. This is a really big deal not just for me, but for my brother as well. We usually don't, and can't, pull stunts like these since it's frowned upon in our culture.

This came as a surprise since he has never slapped me before, let alone hurt my face, and I never thought he would do that until today. He's hurt me in the past such as slapping my hand or using a belt, but never this.

Is it weird that I felt...thrilled? After all those years, for once, I stood up for myself. And now I'll do it over and over again till I'm out of this house.

Father hit me and I am lost on where to go.

Hello I am a 17(F) and I am currently lost on where to go. I am situated in Las Vegas. Please bear with me if I am incomprehensible.

Earlier today my father hit me on the face for the very first time, thrice. I'm surprised because the last time he chose to hurt me physically was when he slapped my hand a few years back due to an accident. (Although he has used a belt on me and on my siblings when we were younger.)

He smacked me because I made my sister upset after watching a few seconds of a show that triggered her. I did not know the show featured her trigger. She started to cry and he screamed at her to stop crying. I told him, "Let her cry," so she could get her feeling out. I told him multiple times before she simply cannot stop crying if you scream at her to do so. He replied, "Don't go against me."

Once he screamed at her again, I stared at him. He got pissed, stood up, screamed at me to stop staring at him, then proceeded to smack me. My brother got up to stop him but he threatened him saying "If you stop me or touch me I will punch your face."

He got right up in my face and kept saying things like: "I know what I'm doing", "You never listen to me", "You make me mad", and the like. He proceeded to smack me two more times. At one point I felt dizzy.

This was my very first time standing up to him. I'm proud of myself but I'm so lost and scared. I don't know where to go for help and I cannot call the police. This has happened to my mother before but she hasn't divorced him for the fear of loosing custody, our house, and more.

What's worse is that I have no evidence of this happening. However I have a short video of the aftermath where my sister is crying. I'm trying to get videos of my dad shouting at my sister (she's autistic btw) or other family members so I could use it if I ever go to court, however I'm having no luck.

Any help is appreciated.
