Two Shows??
I have always enjoyed MSW, it debuted when I was a kid and I used to watch it with my mom every week. To me, the show is like a game where I would attempt to figure out the killer before the reveal, and watching it made me quite a good puzzle solver- in fact, I considered going into law enforcement/FBI (thanks not only to JBF but also to Dana Scully, but I digress), however, that never materialized. I of course missed episodes as I got older/became an adult and have never watched the show in order, either catching an episode on some random cable channel years ago, or streaming my favorites the past few years. Now the only way I have to watch it is via the MSW channel since removal of the show from Tubi, and I am noticing that from a certain point on, the show really isn’t that good. I think there are some later gems, but for the most part, once I get to about season 7 onward, I kind of lose interest, unless it’s a Cabot Cove/Seth episode because the entire atmosphere is completely different- the stories are weak, the acting is meh, the guest stars are forgettable, the dialogue is goofy, the music doesn’t enhance the plot, the situations are cringe- I could go on and on. The biggest disappointment is that the CHARM disappears, and I’m left wanting what I know the show is capable of. Does anyone else feel this way? Do you only watch certain seasons? Do you (like me) think that the show should have ended much sooner so the integrity had remained? I’m truly curious what other fans think.
