Seat back broke off of seat. The wood on the seat broke and the bolts pulled through. The seat back is intact. What is the best way to repair the wood on the seat? Once the wood is repaired how do I drill bolt holes to line up perfectly?
Are there any other options?

I have an old onkyo HT 9100thx and a 7.1 speaker set up. I don’t know much about speakers but I think the fronts are rated at 83db if that helps (Polk). The room is 24x14. Lately I need to warm up the receiver for 20-30 minutes before the video source will show from my projector. Before that I just get a blue screen and no audio. I’m guessing this is a sign my receiver is dying.
So I’m looking at buying new avr. Budget sub $2000. I’m wondering whether I should bother with advanced features like atmos when my speakers are lower end. When watching movies the audio sounds good to me. Just slightly underpowered if I’m blasting music. I don’t think I’m up for replacing the speakers at this point
I’m looking for advice whether I should just get a 7 channel set up and how much power do I need versus the 9 channel ones with atmos etc?
I was satisfied with the previous experience so I’m wondering whether the newer avr will make it better or just add functionality like atmos or second room speakers. If the audio won’t be better then what’s the minimum avr I need to get back up and running
I am updating my home theatre. Replacing projector and screen with large screen tv. I will need to run an hdmi from receiver in back of room to tv in front. The room is 24 feet long I’m estimating 35 to 40 foot run for hdmi. Can I run a regular hdmi or do I need active optical hdmi? Will earc work with active hdmi?
