Noticed someone looking for cheaper fursuits today, and honestly, the comments kind of pissed me off since people always tell that "DO NOT BUY CHEAP!!!"

And not elaborating at all

As a semi beginner maker, I'd like to beg to differ.

First things first, yes, there are a TON of scams out there, and those suck.

BUT....

Beginners need business too. And beginners are usually "cheap"

I hate to see others discouraging buying cheap suits, because most of the times beginners really cannot price them any higher, be it lack of experience or high quality materials.

Obviously, seeing a very high quality suit being sold for like 200 bucks is an obvious scam, but seeing a beginner head for that price probably isn't.

Yes, the maker will not recieve much profit, but then again.... Could they list it for higher and get it sold? Very likely not. I doubt someone would have boughty first premade for much higher than what I sold it for.

When I started out, I didn't make much profit from my first suits, but I was able to invest the amount I got into better materials.

Also, brand costs a lot too honestly. You could do a very nice and detailed suits, but if you have no name, people are less likely to spend big money on ya, which sucks, but it's also why people buy "luxury" brands even if their quality is around the same as any other brand.

Tldr, SCAMS DO ABSOLUTELY EXIST AND WE NEED TO LOOK OUT FOR THOSE--

But we should not discourage others from supporting beginner makers.

Of course, setting realistic expectations is good, you're probably not gonna get a super high quality suit for very cheap, but that does not mean that we shouldn't give a chance for what is gonna be our future makers.
