so at what point are we going to try and stop this ai data center from being built on campus?

UB has taken the parking lot next to SU and is building an AI data center in its place.

There is no place or reason for AI to be on this campus. Nobody wants it. UB is making a huge mistake by creating an artificial intelligence institute. So many other majors and fields are at risk because of the rise of AI, not the mention the environment factors involved.

Do you Feel That Women that are a part of the Intelligence Apparatus and/or War Machine are Empowered, or are They Brainwashed by Patriarchal Power Systems?

For instance, women spies. Are they acting in their own best interest when they are tasked with sabotage & assassination missions, or are they just perpetuating a patriarchal system of oppression in doing so?

Suppose also the hypothetical where a woman had nuclear codes. Would they be justified in nuking a city to eliminate the patriarchy from that city, or would that action too be just systemic patriarchal oppression?

Lastly-- what are your takes on AI and the future of AI when it comes to feminism? Will AI be systemically weaponized to suppress women's voices, or will the technology be decentralized in such a way over time where its training data and nodes become so accessible and pervasive that women's input ultimately overrides the more male-coded norms over time?

Very last question-- Ayn Rand-- was this someone who was a feminist in practice, mainlining individualism and freedom as concepts, or was this someone who was appealing to a male chauvinistic demographic with intent on ultimately restricting those rights from women over time?

"You boys did good reigniting the brand for me for free. I'll take it from here." -Terry "Sports Don" Pegula

"Buffalo Sports Mafia Don, Terry Pegula, sends his regards, but he's got one tiny request that he needs for you to do. Capiche?"

'Sabrehood' has been commandeered by the Pegula Man after the sports team owner bought the trademark for it years ago and apparently just sat on it, as he let others do the work for him until he thought it was big enough to threaten Trademark IP Law action.

That goes to show that the formula is:

  1. Have money

  2. Buy Sports Team in Rust Belt

  3. Buy Up A Bunch of the Sports Team Naming Convention Trademark Rights

  4. Sit on it and let people do the work

  5. Boom! The Sports Town reinvigorated your brand, and you're good to start cashing in now.

From the article, it sounds like the people that did the Sabrehood thing are cool with changing their name, but, it just goes to show that when you're the only game in town and people are psyched for it, you don't even have to pay people to do extra marketing, you just need to make sure you've got the Trademark Rights for it and then wait for the sports spirit to do its thing.

On a side note, there should probably be some gratuity in IP Law that kind of opens up certain patents/trademarks to people to use after x amount of time if they're not doing anything with it, or if there's a controlled supply of that thing in that town (eg there can only be x amount of professional hockey teams in one city). Maybe some clause in there if they harm the brand or something, but IDK, I feel like when people are making sports fan groups and then getting excited about it, do you really want to be the strict no-fun billionaire that's clamping down on it? IP Law is fine and all, but there should be more grace there I think when it comes to fandoms.

Cataclysmic Black Hole Dark Energy Void Reported Over By University District

Black hole vortex thing opened up over on Main St by UB South Campus. Small, barely noticeable at first on the roadway but now the size of the entire block and consuming all who near its gravity well.

Reported to DPW but just got voicemail so they are aware. Google Maps recommends taking an alternate route to avoid being deconstructed at the atomic level and sent to the 5th dimension. Detour adds additional 30m to your commute so make sure to plan ahead.

Aside from the expansion up to UB North Campus, has Metro Rail Expansion ever been discussed in other directions before?

Is anyone aware of any proposals from the past, or even any local politicians, urban planners etc who have discussed building out subway systems in directions other than up to Amherst?

In a scenario where you don't have to count nickels and dimes, ideally we'd have subway systems built out every which way, so I'm curious if people know what the conversations about this have been like in the past.

"Go Back To Facebook" -Eudaimonics

"Wow. You have criticism of Buffalo? Go back to Facebook where I can dox you and write you off as a mean troll. Unlike me, who anonymously agrees with only the things that are said by select local outlets without putting any critical thought into it whatsoever or taking any kind of risk in my statements (those that do so I ban)."

"Go back to Facebook" is Eudaimonics' go-to phrase now for just dismissing anything you have to say when you try to call him out in any subreddit where he doesn't have the power to ban you in. He said the same to me in a now deleted comment in the post in r/Buffalo where I commented in the comment section (where he subsequently banned me ostensibly for disagreeing with u/Aven_Osten's opinion), where I was bringing up relevant problems and solutions to Buffalo's nightlife scene, as I discussed in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/circlejerkbflo/s/jxOxoRccsM

It's as if Eudaimonics believes *only he* has the claim to exert opinions about Buffalo on Reddit. It's like the r/Buffalo subreddit is the local mafia PR mouthpiece and he's the big chief enforcer/propagandist.

Eudaimonics, if you wanna be the big man in charge, try listening to people's critical feedback rather than just Buffalo Rising for a change.

Take off the rose-tinted glasses, set them aside for a sec, and address some of the real criticisms people have in the region rather than just banning them, blocking them, and designating them as a "Facebook troll".
