What does "give away cards" in the rules mean?

I have a question about the rules about the trade it says

> Important: You may not give away cards in any way, which includes trading matching resource cards (for example, trying to trade 3 ore for 1 ore is not allowed).

What does give away cards mean? Does that mean trading some amount of cards for a smaller amount of cards? Because typically I would not consider that to give away cards, and the rules don't specify what it means (it does give an example, but that is only for that specific case and is not a specification of what it means in general).

Like, when you trade with the supply or with a port, trading a larger amount of cards for a smaller amount of cards is what you do all the time, and then it's not called "giving cards away."

Edit: I misread the example given in the rules, and thought it was about trading one resource for another resource, but it was about trading one resource for the same resource. Hence my confusion.

Windows: Open Git Bash in Windows Terminal by default

On Windows 10, when I right-click in a folder in the Explorer, I can choose "Git Bash Here". When I click that action, Git Bash opens up in the Mintty terminal, which comes with Git when you install it, but Mintty is sooo buggy when it comes to cursor placement and multi-line commands it is driving me crazy. Can I configure this right-click menu action to run Git Bash in Windows Terminal instead of running it in Mintty?

Make Emacs load faster on Windows

Is there some way to speed up the loading of Emacs on Windows? For me it goes painfully slow (much slower than on Linux), and I have therefore considered switching to another editor.

Markdown editor in the mobile app?

Is there some way to use the markdown editor in the mobile app? That’s the way I prefer writing. Besides, when I use the rich text editor (which is the only editor that seems to be available), I’m not able to:
* make proper point lists

Why is there often a ”2” in the iOS app badge?

I often see a badge (the red circle that is sometimes on app icons) with the number 2 in it on the iOS app icon. This number usually indicates the number of unread messages in the app, but when I open the app, I have no unread messages, and when I look at the app icon again, the badge is gone. This is incredibly annoying as it grabs my attention for nothing.

Alternatively, I do have unread messages, but the badge shows a number that is the number of unread messages plus two.

Bookmarks to conversations has stopped working

I use a lot of bookmarks in my web browser, and I often bookmark conversations with chatbots, including Gemini. However, for the last few days I have had issues loading conversations with Gemini via saved bookmarks—instead of seeing the conversation, I end up at the main page for Gemini. Also, if I just copy and paste the conversation URL in a new tab, I am also taken to the main Gemini page instead of to the conversation.

Does anyone else have the same issue?

As a workaround for this issue, instead of clicking on the bookmark, I have to copy the bookmark title and search for that title among my Gemini conversations. And if I have a conversation open in a browser tab, and restart the browser, that tab is also reset to the main Gemini page, although the URL remains unchanged. Since I don't have a bookmark title I can use in that scenario, I have to copy the conversation code from the URL and search for that code among my bookmarks in the bookmark sidebar, before I can even find a bookmark from which I can copy the bookmark title. This works but is incredibly annoying.

Suggestion for improvements to the search function in the Bookmarks sidebar

I have two suggestions for improvements to the search function in the Bookmarks sidebar:

  1. Search not only for bookmarks, but for folders as well. Sometimes, folders are exactly what you're looking for, so it only makes sense to be able to search for them.
  2. When displaying the search results, display the path to each match in the bookmark tree or add an option to enable this behavior. This could be implemented as a filter that a) filters out all bookmarks that don't match the query and folders that neither match the query nor directly or indirectly contain any matching bookmarks, and b) expands all remaining folders. As a motivating example, since a bookmark or a folder can only live in one (other) folder / can only have one parent in the bookmark tree (contrast this with categories on Wikipedia, which can have several supercategories), I often end up copying and pasting entire folders into other parts of the bookmark tree. I often also find myself wanting to find a specific item—a bookmark of which I don't remember the name, or a folder, which you currently can't even search for—but I'm able to find a bookmark that exists in the same folder, which is helpful because then you can "follow" that match by right-clicking on it and choosing "Show in Folder". However, if that folder has been copied to other locations, and if those copies have then diverged, I end up getting several matches that look identical but refer to different bookmarks, some of which exist in a folder that has the item I'm looking for and some of which don't. I then have to take a guess at which match will lead me to a folder that has the item and go to that folder, only to find out that the item is not there and end up having to redo the search, while trying to remember which of the matches I have already checked before following another one. If the path to each matched bookmark were shown along with the bookmark, I would a) have an easier time keeping track of which matches I had already checked since they now don't all look the same, and b) have a chance to figure out which match I should follow just from seeing the path and remembering whether the item I was looking for existed in that part of the tree.

I know that not everyone would use these features, but I would find them very useful, and I don't think their inclusion would negatively affect anyone, especially if they were optional.

Bookmark shortcuts?

In the Firefox bookmark tree, is there some way I can create shortcuts to bookmarks or bookmark folders?
