Has anyone ever gone to the nursing orientation as an alternate and did you ever get in? Debating whether I should go to the mandatory nursing orientation. It’s 2 days long from 8am-5pm. I just don’t wanna waste my time going and I don’t even get in.

Hi everyone, I’m feeling a little discouraged and I’m not sure what to do. I’m already 2 years behind on my progress for nursing because I can’t get into nursing school. I applied for many nursing schools in Texas and I can’t seem to get in. My gpa is around 3.4 (which I know isn’t the best). I have A’s and B’s, with mostly B’s and 2 C’s which are in Microbiology and Psychology. I plan on retaking my 2 C’s, it would bring me up to around a 3.5 but would it make that much of a difference to help me? I’ve been looking into PCT internships, being a medical scribe, or even volunteering but it seems difficult to find a job in the hospital right now. I am unsure what to do and any advice would help, thank you.
