Hey guys, yeah… I’m kinda ashamed to say this LOL.
I started OTPing Irelia in 2019. I stopped playing League for a while after that and didn’t make a comeback until 2023. From 2023 until today, I’ve basically played her every single day.
Here’s the backstory to my journey, because I’m built different lowkey… not in a good way though 💀
I started playing League in 2011. For the first 5–6 years, I didn’t even play with my keyboard. I literally used my mouse and CLICKED ON THE SUMMONER SPELLS ON THE SCREEN.
My brothers, their friends, basically everyone who saw me play thought I was insanely weird for doing this. And honestly, I agree with them today because I have yet to meet another human being who played like this 😭
Eventually, I learned to play with QWER and the spacebar for camera lock.
Then I took my long break.
When I came back to League in 2023, I realized I literally couldn’t play without camera lock anymore. No matter how much I try, I just cannot get used to playing with it unlocked.
And the worst part?
I MAIN A CHAMP WHO REALLY NEEDS THE CAMERA UNLOCKED. 😭
I actually hit Diamond a few months ago playing Irelia, but I’ve realized that if I want to keep improving, I need to constantly upgrade how I play the game.
So my question is:
How the hell do you guys play Irelia.. or literally any champion.. with camera lock OFF?
How did you learn it? What helped you the most? Was there anything specific you did to break the habit?
I’m genuinely willing to suffer through the learning curve if it means becoming a better player 💀

Ive been maining Irelia since 2019. Shes my proudest lol moments, however from time to time my mechanics are just AWFUL. First period my mechanics are actually rly insane and i get compliments from them both enemy team and from friend requests post games. But then a different period comes and i literally just look like a beginner? I can never do good with her mechanically ALL the time.. Why? Anyone else that relates?
What ive noticed is if i take a break from lol even just for a week and i come back, thats when i rly slip and fall back SO much, and you’re probably thinking “You’ll get back up quickly with it” NO? IM ON MY THIRD WEEK AND MY MECHANICS ARENT AS THEY USED TO? WHAT IS THIS ? HOW DO I GET RID OF IT ? LIKE IK WHAT TO DO, I JUST CANT SEEM TO DO IT RIGHT?
