Okay, YES, I know season two isn’t confirmed by either Innersloth, CBS, or Paramount, however, due to the popularity Among Us has been getting lately (from both the show and the game itself) I wouldn’t be surprised if an announcement regarding season two would be out before long. This is like a yap session of my two cents on what the storyline would/should be about, even if it’s obvious to some but I wanna say it anyway.

Let’s start off with the fact that there’s been many fans speculating the next season’s setting (a lot of the guesses being MIRA HQ, cause of the map order from the actual game—third season being Polus, etc). I wouldn’t say that it’s a far-fetched or false idea to have but the chances of that happening are highly uncommon as one might think. Looking at where we left off of in season one, it has been stated that the ship’s going to dock at this unknown and unfamiliar place that is Industria. MIRA HQ might be shown in the second season but I feel like the main focus would and should be based around this new place that nobody has a picture of, exploring this new world or whatever. We can also get more of a glimpse on the work environment under MIRA through Industria, a great sense of world building and unraveling the complete picture of society that’s outside the spaceship. After we get a more fleshed out world, it would make sense to then introduce HQ (like an arc of some sort? Maybe a grander focus for its third season. Idk I’m not part of the Among Us writing team, all up to them in the end this is just what I think would best fit the following events).

Next is plot (to which it being nebulous but I’ll try to guess anyway). Following and stemming from the events from its predecessor, season two’s plot would (probably) continue to answer and dive into the lore that the original season has brushed upon, with questions revolving around the progression of the dynamic and relation Red and Purple were having (then and now), the Among Us society (idk I’m calling it that) and its functionality, and, most importantly, information and secrets regarding MIRA, who is implied to be the main antagonistic group of the series (completely sure). Tying in with the setting being in mostly Industria this seems to fit perfectly, a setting in which we can effectively explore more about everything said above. The plot can also explore things that aren’t necessarily brushed upon from season one: we could get an individual backstory from both Purple and Red, maybe even some mentions and moments from the dead people in the spaceship (definitely not coping and wanting more of their screen time), or introducing a new problem that can either be regarding the elitists or the body-snatching aliens but still being different from season one. They can pretty much do anything, so long as they’re not redoing the whole murder mystery thing again. Despite some fans wanting a continuation of it, it’s going to get quickly derivative and boring fast. Also, it looks like the creators (or MIRA) wants to use these alien eggs (“ores”) for some reason, so that might be the focus of the series’ second season.

Lastly, I want to talk about the characters. This is my hot take but I do not want any duplicates of the colors/characters that were shown from the first season. They all had a special place in our hearts (mine especially) and I feel like it would be of offense to their character and deaths if they were just easily replaced with a new cast of colors that also goes by their names (also it would be confusing for fans to reference which version of the color they’re talking about). Some people might say like “Well how else would we get more characters?” And here’s my simple solution: specific-named colors (ex. Not Red, but Rose, or Salmon. Not Cyan, but Teal, or Aquamarine, etc. + we can have a character actually named Purple or Indigo since Purple’s real name is actually Violet). Idk that’s just my opinion on the next season’s character choice and I feel like it’s logical and makes perfect sense. Also maybe we can get more alien characters or something but flesh them out more (stretch but I want to know more about them, if possible). I expect the quantity of characters to grow exponentially for its second season and hopefully it can be diverse and not only focus on regular crewmates or unpaid interns (still want the main characters to continue being Purple and Red + maybe more additional MCs?)

Whatever, this is a series that is based off a game that 9 year olds glorify and participate in, so I shouldn’t be so sure that any of these ideas will stick for season two—if it’s even coming. But whatever, as long as they make it as good or even better than the first season, with the characters progression, and plot and such improving/expanding, that’s all I care about.
