need this in the rest of the seasons!

need this in the rest of the seasons!

if we do not get more awkward dinner scenes, funny banter between the brothers, eloise being sarcastic and giving such fitting and witty replies to her brothers, anthony losing his mind trying to prevent their family from a scandal while every other sibling seems hell bent on it, i WILL go crazy🤣i neeeedddd the entire bridgerton family in the upcoming seasons to have moreee time together! this show’s called BRIDGERTON for a reason. yes, i love watching their love stories and seeing how they fall in love but come onnn. this family’s so close, has- in some way or the either- helped each other along the way to work it out with their respective partners. if these people don’t have scenes together in the next season…well. i’ll still watch it😭but still.

(i couldn’t find a full family picture with hannah dodd as francesca sorry😭🙏🏻)

this scene shows so much while saying so little

every time i’ve watched this scene while watching s2, it has always warmed my heart!! the way he clearly couldn’t control his emotions and let it show how relieved he was when we’ve seen how much he hesitates to show vulnerability is truly so precious imo!😭❤️this is the THE moment for me when i realised “oh he really loves her”. it’s almost like he couldn’t breathe the entire time kate was unconscious and knowing mr. yearnington over here, im pretty sure that’s the case. the relief on his face, the slight crack in voice, the tears and the deep breaths…that man’s done for. jonathan bailey is one hell of an actor. incredible.

the kite runner

what the title says😭😭a few months ago, i read the kite runner and i think it’s safe to say, i was emotionally devastated. even today, when i’m scrolling through insta and a reel comes up about it, i’m almost tearing up! this book is a masterpiece. i’ve read a thousand splendid suns, another book by the same author and while that made me cry too (i adore mariam and laila), the kite runner made me go through a different kind of turmoil!

i realised how suffocating and gut-wrenching it was to read that book. and i finally understand the reason. it was because what i was reading was actually amir’s guilt of never being the friend he should have been to hassan who literally gave him everything he had!!😭❤️tbh, im one of those people who believe that amir did NOT deserve hassan. at all. i definitely blame amir’s father for how he turned out, yes but also? him as a character itself is very unlikeable to me. i can never ever sympathise with him. while i really feel grateful for what he did to help sohrab, i definitely feel he did it more out of remorse and guilt rather than actual respect and love for his long lost friend. hassan’s letter always makes me sob omg😭😭😭even after knowing everything- that amir saw what happened to him that evening and did nothing- hassan never held it against him! this just breaks my heart. he deserved so so SO much better than what life gave him!❤️‍🩹

this book will always be so close to my heart even though i don’t think i can ever read it again. i was thinking about it for days after when i finished and i still do, when days get too quiet. i keep thinking what would have happened had hassan been alive and they actually met? would amir have been able to face him?😭i keep thinking about this and somewhere, i believe that they never should have met again. amir did not deserve him and wouldn’t have been able to face him anyway, knowing what he did (framing him for a robbery and..yk.) but god, i wish hassan had lived. with his wife and his son, happily till he died peacefully and not because life was cruel and did that to him!

the one thing that absolutely BREAKS me is the fact that hassan’s son went through the same thing from the same person who stole the life out of hassan in his childhood. whenever i think of this, my day legit gets ruined😭i hate asif sm, i swear. he deserved much much worse than what he got.

all in all- this book and the way it made me feel is something i will never forget! khaled hosseini is such an incredible writer, truly!!💛

what are your thoughts on this book? let’s discuss, i want to share the emotional trauma i got😭☝🏻

i’ve a love-hate relationship with edwina atp

hiii. i’m not sure if this has been discussed here before or not but i js rewatched s2 a couple days back and there’s one thing that reallllyyyy bothers me!😭and if i’ve missed something then sure, pls point it out for me!!

i agree with the fact that anthony and kate were in the wrong for doing what they did with edwina and i LOVED her in the wedding episode. the way she decided to not settle with what she was being given- which wasn’t much tbh- was amazing!! but anyway. every time i rewatch, i feel i can’t get rid of this particular thought. on the day of the wedding, when they’re talking in person, edwina asks if he can ever love her. and that makes up for a huge portion of why she broke her marriage with him but as far as i remember, kate had told her- from the first ep itself- what she had overheard and that anthony was bad news for her but she didn’t consider it and was charmed by anthony which, ok, who would NOT be?😭but my point is- she already KNEW. so why bring it up on the day of the wedding? she knew he respected her, was willing to marry her but he never stated that he had affections for her. also, i clearly remember her saying that she wanted the life anthony promises her. she wanted to be his viscountess. which makes me wonder if she just wanted the title and to be the part of such a respectful family or she really wanted anthony?

this part makes me so annoyed cause. girl.😭😭😭kate warned her so many times about this and she ignored everything and on the day of the wedding she’s like “i’m out.” i totally get her feeling enraged about the thing between anthony and kate but this reason bothers me sm when she points it out like PLEASEEEE.

sorry for the long post, i’ve noticed this on every rewatch so i had to let it out!!!! 😂😂

edit: omg you guys are not getting it lmao😭😭i understand that what happened with her was wrong. yes, she was deceived by her own sister and by her future husband. i’m not trying to argue about that. what i’m trying to say this: why point out THIS? the whole love thing! “yes, i’ll be your viscountess”. “i want the life that he offers me.” “i’ll not give up.” these are her own words btw.😭🙏🏻i don’t HATE edwina but this js annoys me. to each their own ig, i get why a lot of ppl r pressed about this, kate and anthony did her wrong fs.

so underrated!!

i couldn’t stop myself from talking about this soo, here we are😭😭i’ve been a fan of pakistani dramas since two years now and during this time, i’ve stumbled upon a lot of amazing ones! personally, i’ve grown to adore them! such unique storylines, complex characters but still so much simplicity! it’s amazing to watch it all play out on screen :)

that said, i agree that there are a lot of dramas with romance as the major plot and yes, that makes for an appealing drama but recently, i saw a drama that completely changed my perspective on how the other genres can be explored as well and actually come out even better!! i watched “cheekh” a few days back, starring bilal abbas and saba qamar in the lead roles and my mind was BLOWN. this was some serious good work!!! saba, as always, was a delight to watch- i love her dramas, man. she brings the character to life! her as mannat was incredibly captivating to watch!

but i’d like to emphasise bilal’s acting here!!! he was brilliant. the fake innocence, sheer cunningness and the way he portrayed the role of a disgusting, narcissistic man was worthy of applaud. him as wajih will forever be my fav character of him!

also- i LOVEDD emmad irfani as shayan😭such a supportive husband and i felt so bad when he died :(( (ps. emmad’s my fav pakistani actor so there’s that, i might be biased but he’s soo underrated. and so good looking as well😂)

apart from the characters, the ost is so heartbreaking and perfectly suits the atmosphere of the drama. also, i feel like the drama did really well on putting forward a number of social issues such as crime against women, corruption amongst officials, the disparities between the rich and poor. this drama had me on the edge of my seat the entire time!! but i truly loved it!!

cheekh was definitely a treat to watch! can anyone suggest more dramas like this? :)

sorry for the long post, i js had to let it all out!!

deleted wattpad

soo i’ve been using wattpad since i was 13 and now i’m 18😭man, i feel so nostalgic when i think about the time i first downloaded this app! at first, i used to read random fan fictions that were uploaded on yt with no plots, bad grammar and just an idea until i eventually discovered wattpad. it felt like discovering something else entirely haha. for a fan fiction loving 13 year old like me- it was a hidden treasure i found cause i had never heard anyone talk about it until then lol. so. initially, as i said, i only used to read fanfictions but eventually shifted to original stories as well, discovering different sort of genres and exploring the app.

throughout all these years, i’ve discovered a lot of books that i’ve loved- many that i’ve hated- but overall? i’ve had a very unique experience and i’m so glad i found this app😭back then, it was so peak. minimal ads, hilarious comments and well thought out plots. it was filled with authors and readers who truly had a knack for reading/writing or maybe just to pass time but to each their own! i LOVED those nights when i stayed awake past 12 am on a school night to finish books haha😂

i won’t comment on how wattpad has changed drastically over the years because everyone has already talked a lot about it😭no matter how much i search and put in effort to find something new and unique, i always end up with the same plot line/story. and really, no shade to the people who are writing all that. the platform is for everyone, you have the right to express and use it however you want but honestly? wattpad is not it for me anymore and i feel sooo sad saying this :(( i love stories like meet cutes, second-chances, friends to lovers. something cute, nothing too heavy, short and filled with meaningful chapters and conversations only + a happy ending! and sure, i’ve seen many such books like this, read them, loved them and added them in my library!!but i feel like there’s a whole lot less of these stories now. i’ll admit; i loved reading about CEOs, mafias, revenge etc but at this point, i feel like it’s a very overexposed trope and i’m sooo over it. i’ve shifted to ao3 these past days and while it’s not the same, it certainly makes up in matters of content!!

wattpad was at its prime a few years back and maybe it might come back again soon but for now? i don’t see much hope😭i just wanted to let this all out since i’ve been thinking about this for a looong time and finally decided to delete wattpad altogether. wattpad will 4ever be a peak teenage experience for me hehe! maybe one day i will download it again, who knows🤭

ty for reading! :)

searching for a book

hiii, this is like my first post on reddit ever but i really wanna find this particular fic so i’m writing this😭

it was a jinkook (jungkook X jin) book- i can’t seem to find it anywhere and i’ve searched a lot. i read it on wattpad. i remember the main story. so basically jin and yoongi are brothers in that fic. at a club, one night, jin and jungkook meet and end up spending the night together. and a few days later, jungkook ends up at yoongi’s house and he’s living with him, jin and their parents for uni/school. jin and jungkook have to hide their relationship from jin’s parents and yoongi. this is all i can remember as of now but this is the main premise ig.

the book was extremely well written and i loved it but i can’t seem to find it anywhere now💔please help me out :((
