Switching from Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 to Kamvas Pro 19?

Debating whether to go with the newest Cintiq Pro 17", or save money with a Kamvas Pro 19. Has anybody else made a switch like that?

In August 2023, I bought a new Wacom Cintiq Pro 16" (DTH167K0A). I loved it!!! Unfortunately, it stopped turning on in May 2026. I filed a warranty claim with Asurion, and after a lot of headache, it came back good as new. Sadly, less than a month later, its power cord was having connection issues. I kept it going until July by tying the wire in a loop, but it finally gave out. I file another warranty claim, mail out the power cord and Wacom expecting an open and shut case, and... They can't fix it. No explanation. $1500 compensation pending.

My guess is Wacom no longer manufactures the power cable (it's out of stock on their site), so Asurion couldn't replace it. Now, to get the same specs from Wacom again, it'll be $2500 😭

Kamvas Pro 19 checks all my boxes on paper: 4k resolution, touch screen, 16" minimum. My main concerns are: Potential learning curve of having remote shortcuts instead of built-in buttons, Huion drivers allegedly being finicky, and pixel fuzziness. I'm wondering about color calibration too, are there settings to adjust them and match your monitor...?

Will Pro Pen 2 Work On Newest Wacom Cintiq Pro?

This is a stupid question, but let me be stupid, because I'm preparing to drop $2500!

I own a Pro Pen 2 from my last Wacom Pro. I looked at the Pro Pen 2's page on Wacom's site, checking its compatibility with my soon-to-be-purchased Wacom Cintiq Pro 17". That device's model number is "DTH172K0A".

The page does say it's compatible with a Wacom Cintiq Pro 17", but it lists that device's model number as "DTH172K0B".

I want to be absolutely sure... Does that 1 letter difference mean anything, or is it 100% the same device? This matters to me, because the Pro Pen 3 packaged with Cintiq Pro allegedly sucks, and my Pro Pen 2 is awesome.

Concerns About Long-term Support for Cintiq Pro 17"

I am a returning Wacom customer, but a cautious one looking for answers.

Context: In August 2023, I bought an Asurion-insured Wacom Cintiq Pro 16" (DTH167K0A). I loved it!!! Unfortunately, it stopped turning on in May 2026. I filed a warranty claim, and after a lot of headache, it came back good as new. Sadly, less than a month later, its power cord was having connection issues. It was the wire, the power brick was fine, its green light was on. I kept it going until July by keeping the wire tied in a loop, but it finally gave out. I file another warranty claim, mail out the power cord and Wacom expecting an open and shut case, and... They can't fix it. No explanation. $1500 compensation pending.

My Concerns: I am considering the Wacom Cintiq Pro 17" (DTH172K0A), but this experience worries me. I'm under the impression Wacom devices are long-lasting and long-supported, yet my 3-year-old DTH167 with a broken power cable was somehow beyond repair. Will this likely happen again? My guess is Asurion couldn't "repair" it, because the power cable is out of stock on Wacom's website. Out of an abundance of caution, I accepted warranty compensation instead of searching for a replacement elsewhere. I don't know if second-hand would be reliable, for all I know the Wacom itself was broken anyway, and I can't risk voiding the warranty.

Can I expect better longevity/support for the current Cintiq Pro? What if the power cable for my new Pro 17" gets damaged in just a couple years? It would be maddening if a replacement is unobtainable again, and I need to do another expensive upgrade, even if the device itself still works! This new upgrade will be an extra $1000 as it is.

Any shared experience or advice appreciated. Due to personal circumstances, buying a pre-owned device is not an option for me.

GLITCH: Epic Ward SWAPPED ODDS with Common Obscure Mask

I thought this was fascinating and worth documenting.

At game reset on August 10th, 2026, the odds of partial effects were slightly buffed while full effect legendries were nerfed, as documented here. However, the post's description also mentions "ward being 19% today". What's that supposed to mean?

Turns out, along with the deliberate change, there was an accident with kitsunes. For both Wishing and Refining, the odds of obscure mask and ward mask were swapped. Obscure was reduced to 1%, while ward increased to 19%, or 23.5% for Refining. The change was noticed by an AJC server member around 8PM CST. By 10PM, screenshots of the new wish odds, as well as wishing histories filled with ward kitsunes, were being sent back and forth.

The error went unaddressed by AJHQ for at least 15 hours. The last message I found confirming the "glitch" was still active was sent at 11AM CST on August 11th. Finally, by 4PM yesterday, the odds were reported to be fixed.

What This Means

In the short term, ward supply is higher. You may have a slightly harder time selling them on the Shop Explorer or getting high offers. Despite that, due to the error's lifespan occurring on a Monday and outside the game's peak activity hours, I doubt this will have long-term impact on the value of ward. If the mistake was widespread knowledge while it was active, rather than relegated to a Discord server, this might've been a worse situation.

If your ward kitsune has a Wish Certificate dated August 11th, 2026, it was almost certainly a result of the artificially increased odds. August 10th certificates are not within the error's lifespan, since they were issued starting August 9th in many timezones.

The Search Begins

This is something I've been waiting to find over a year, and I was passive, assuming it would pop up naturally. Safe to say waiting around won't cut it anymore.

Offering 3000 MINIMUM for a pet griffin with seraph and harfang traits! I WILL pay (or trade) more if it's excellent colors, or has an additional rare or epic trait.

Found The COOLEST Double Epic Ever

I think it's the "coolest", because it has ONE tail! This is almost certainly unrefined because 1) Shop Explorer 2) the relatively non-specific colors.

Which means, somebody either wished for a single-tailed kit, which is already uncommon, and by insane luck landed on 2 epic traits, OR, it was a one-coin wonder, in which case that's total madness.

FREE MONEY LET'S GO

I just laughed, I wasn't even grinding for Alpha Chests or anything, I just started clicking shovels moderately more often in hopes of finding Sapphire potions.

I owe a lot to Alpha Chests. I exploited them to death in late 2023 during the Alpha Chest Gold Rush, smartest thing I ever did. Somebody's gotta remember that time.
