A book that isn’t just meant to be built
A book that isn’t just meant to be read: it’s built, opened, and tells its story through every little detail.

What I wanted was something that didn’t just look like a book from the outside, but actually felt like a memory object once opened: browsable pages, real printed photos, and a more emotional use of LEGO than a standard display model.
Feedback is very welcome, especially on how overall concept looks.
I designed this LEGO photo album concept with the idea of combining a display piece with something more personal and interactive.
It opens like a real book, the pages can be turned, and it’s meant to hold real 10x15 cm / 4x6 in photos. The current layout is designed for 12 photos in total, with 4 photos per page.
The idea originally came from wanting to create a unique gift for my brother for an important life milestone. The first version was still a rough prototype, but seeing the emotional reaction it created made me feel the concept was worth developing further.
I’d love to hear what you think about the idea, especially the balance between display value, functionality, and emotional appeal.
