Seth Trimble (who may or may not be eligible after signing an exhibit 10 contract with the Wizards) announces late at night he intends to transfer

I really hate what the NCAA has become (and I fully blame the NCAA, not the players.)

There's a rumor that Trimble may commit to Louisville, the only non-Duke team in the ACC that Carolina plays twice next season.

I honestly didn't care when guys like Tyler Nickel or Dontrez Styles transferred to ACC schools. But a 4 year player like Trimble who seemed to bleed Tar Heel blue, who made it a point to punk the guys who transferred anytime we played them, who opened a store in Chapel Hill... I just thought he'd be one of those guys who came back all the time like so many of the older players do.

I don't think I could handle seeing him wearing an opposing jersey in the Smith Center, trying to beat UNC, and getting booed by the fans for it.

Does your school have money left to buy an impact 5th year senior?

It's almost August and a judge just gave a ton of 5th year seniors eligibility. A whole new round of recruiting is going to happen with only a couple of weeks left before fall semester starts at a lot of schools.

Does your school have available NIL to fill holes on your roster?

Popples are back

You can order them online. I got one for my nephew's birthday. It just arrived. Looks and feels just like the old school ones we had growing up.

Jayden Quaintance will need another knee surgery

The Spurs used the 20th pick on Jayden Quaintance, who only played 4 games this past season for Kentucky coming off a major knee injury. Reporter Evan Sidery is reporting he may effectively "redshirt" his rookie year in San Antonio.

I'm honestly surprised anyone used a 1st round pick on this kid.

[Rothstein] Attorney Ryan Downton --- the same attorney that represented Diego Pavia against the NCAA --- tells me that a group of more than 50 college basketball players from the HS Class of 2022 will be filing lawsuits in at least five states seeking inclusion in the NCAA's rule change.

How will your team handle it if the recently graduated seniors win an extra year of eligibility in court?

So the NCAA is going to 5 years of play for everyone. Which means the class that just graduated is getting shafted out of an extra year of NIL earnings. So I'm sure somebody is going to sue and claim this is limiting their earnings, and a judge will grant everyone a 5th year. And suddenly you'll have hundreds of 5th year players available.

So how will your team handle it? Do you have roster spots left to invite your graduated seniors back? Do you have NIL left? Would you want to fill roster needs by pursuing other teams' players? Are there lesser transfers you've accepted that you'd want to push out to create roster space to welcome back your recently graduated seniors?

I'm expecting this to become incredibly messy.

So this miracle Knicks comeback was bc of Wu-Tang right?

We all know Trump basically cursed the Knicks by showing up to game 3. And that stank rolled into game 4. But then halftime happened, and the Wu-Tang Clan showed up and rocked MSG. They clearly exorcised the curse.

UNC to host Arkansas in ACC/SEC challenge

Cowards wouldn't give us a return game against Kentucky in Chapel Hill. Guess we have to settle for the old Kentucky coach.

The unbalanced ACC schedule for North Carolina has been released

A reminder that the ACC went back to 18 games while also adding 3 western schools via expansion. As a result you only get one primary partner you play twice every season, and one other team you play twice that changes each season.

Last year, for the first time since 1919, UNC didn't play a game against NC State in Chapel Hill. This season, the rivalry once again takes a hit as UNC won't play State in Raleigh. Someone will have to look up when the last time that happened was.
