I’m selling a vehicle privately in the Raleigh area. I have a serious potential buyer who wants to pay in cash. The problem is that he is only available to meet on Sunday evening, when the banks will be closed.

How would you recommend verifying that the cash is legitimate before I hand over the title and vehicle?

I purchased a counterfeit-detection pen, but the reviews are mixed regarding how reliable they are. I’d prefer not to reschedule the sale if there’s a safe way to verify the cash on Sunday.

Any suggestions or experience with this?

I have a new 2026 Outback Touring XT with weather mats. Subaru doesn’t have weather mats for the back rests to protect the back seats when they are down. Has anyone found quality back rest mats that fit the new OB?
