Do you put oil/grease on your scalp before or after flat ironing?

I typically don't flat iron my hair, and ordinarily I add oil to my scalp right after blow drying to retain some moisture since my scalp flakes up easily. If I do flat iron my hair, I often do it the next day, but I have to do it today. I imagine oil before the flat iron will burn it, but oil after will make it greasy looking. What do y'all do?

I also don't grease my scalp because of dermatitis, I just added it for those that do since I imagine it might have the same effect.

Goodnight Samsung, good morning Textra

Two questions:

  1. Do you think Textra will ever enable users to customize each chat with a background photo like Samsung messages did? Or does it already have that feature and I'm confused?

  2. Is the $9.99 for Textra pro a one time payment or a subscription? If it's one time, I'll gladly pay it, but each month isn't feasible at the moment.

Samsung messages officially sunset and honestly, it's largely out of sheer spite that I'm refusing Google messages. But another large part is that it's quite ugly. I loved how Samsung messages matched whatever theme you used for your phone, and my favorite part was that you could put a background for each chat. I'm surprised you can't do that on textra. However it's still way nicer to look at. Plus it even has some features Samsung didn't like being able to react to texts (and see others' reactions in return instead of "user reacted laugh emoji to ____") and being able to name group chats. I also like being able to change the colors of whoever is talking in the gc so it's easier to follow. This is awesome!

I'm gonna take a little more time to get used to it, but if i continue to enjoy it, I'll happily pay $10 to support the devs, especially if it'll lead to further features down the line like background customization. I'm not much of a texter so i won't die if it never comes, but i am sentimental so seeing the picture of my parents and i whenever i reply to their texts makes me smile.

Any tips from long time users are also welcome. I just downloaded it last night so I'm still playing around with it.

DeepBlueInk Drawfee vid count

Out of disrespect for Jacob, I watched DBI's animation of the salami incident. The video count at the end made me giggle. Hopefully this lightens the subreddit mood <3

How do you clean under the boxes for braids?

Inspo pic above

I am desperately in love with the jumbo butterfly braids look. I've only ever had braids a few times, and they were more medium-large. I need to wash my hair at least every 2 weeks (if not weekly) or else my seborrheic dermatitis will flare up. But when I have braids, i don't know how to clean underneath the boxes to get any flakes building underneath. Any recommendations?

Also do y'all have any recs for greases or gels or mousses to use when braiding and setting your hair to avoid excess dandruff or irritating dermatitis?

613 human hair bundles to dye for boho?

I really want boho for some twists that would look like this style wise (I know the pic has braids; this is just to show what I want the boho to look like), but bright and colorful. So I want to get 613 and dye it myself. I know I need human hair, which is already kinda hard to find trustworthy human hair anyway, but I've also heard some trustworthy human hair places have overprocessed 613 hair.

Any 613 human hair recs to dye for boho hair?
