Looking for a Second Video Editor for a Student-Led Educational Passion Project (Volunteer)

Hi everyone!

We're a team of five students working on The Zetesis Project, a student-led educational passion project. Over the past few months, we've built our core team and have all our role heads in place. Right now, the only role we're looking to fill is that of a second video editor, who will work alongside our lead editor to help us create more high-quality documentary-style educational content.

The idea is simple: instead of just consuming information, we want to investigate it. We're creating documentary-style educational content that explores topics in economics, business, finance, technology, psychology, history, geopolitics, and current affairs through research, evidence, and thoughtful storytelling. We don't claim to be experts—we document our learning journey and invite others to learn with us.

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING: THIS IS A PASSION PROJECT. WE ARE NOT A COMPANY, WE ARE NOT FUNDED, WE DO NOT GENERATE ANY REVENUE, AND WE CANNOT OFFER FINANCIAL COMPENSATION AT THIS STAGE. EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON OUR TEAM IS A VOLUNTEER WHO BELIEVES IN THE MISSION OF BUILDING SOMETHING EDUCATIONAL AND MEANINGFUL.

We've been fortunate enough to assemble an amazing small team from different parts of the world, including researchers, writers, consultants, and an incredibly talented lead editor from Ukraine. His work is genuinely outstanding, and he's played a huge role in shaping the visual identity of our content.

The only challenge is that, because of his professional commitments, he understandably has limited time. A single documentary-style reel currently takes around 1 to 1.5 weeks to complete.

We discussed this with him, and he was completely on board with bringing in another editor to work alongside him.

So we're now looking for a second video editor who would collaborate with our lead editor—not replace him. The goal is simply to share the workload, speed up production, and continue producing high-quality educational content without putting unnecessary pressure on one person.

We're ideally looking for someone who:

* Has experience with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, CapCut, or similar editing software.

* Enjoys documentary-style or educational storytelling.

* Appreciates clean, cinematic editing over flashy effects.

* Is comfortable collaborating with another editor and receiving feedback.

* Can dedicate at least a few hours each week (we're very flexible, and we completely understand if you're a student or have a full-time job).

Our biggest inspirations include creators like Johnny Harris, MagnatesMedia, Neo, Cleo Abram, Fern, Search Party, and Vox. If that's the type of content you enjoy creating, you'll probably fit right in.

This isn't a short-term content page or a growth hack. Our vision is to build a long-term student-led educational initiative that continues even after we graduate by passing it on to future students who share the same curiosity and passion for learning.

If this resonates with you and you'd genuinely enjoy being part of something like this, we'd love to hear from you. Feel free to leave a comment or send me a DM, and I'll happily connect you with the team.
