Why is my Gen2 Dishy trying to break its neck?

I have had the Gen2 for a while now, in my old house it was up high and always pointing in a direction (SSW) but it would change if it needed to.

Now I have moved house and the app no longer shows a recommended direction (I assume this is because newer Dishy's are flat), however no matter which way I point my Gen2 at start up it always tries flatten itself or even go beyond flat. I leave it for a week or more to see if it lowers and points a direction but it doesn't. So as it is trying to go over on it self I will turn it on its mounting and reset the obstruction map to see if it will now point in the direction it was trying, but it attempts to flip the other way again.

I can't hear it straining the motors or anything, so should I assume it is just happy being nearly flat?

Is there something that could help me point it now the app doesn't have a direction arrow? There is a tree that could be an obstruction in the south but it doesn't come up as an issue.

TNAS Mobile problem

I recently updated the firmware on my F2-212 using a method similar to this as it showed the same symptoms:
firmware update
And now it works as expected, however when I try to connect using TNAS mobile is says that the app is not compatible with TOS 7, my F2-212 is running 5.1.73. Is this because the firmware was incorrect, is TNAS Mobile reading the wrong thing? How do I get past this?

By the way the BIOS/Initboot version is 313, I can not upgrade past v5.1.73

So after going back and forth(with help with comments from this channel) I decided to finally buy the F2-424 as Amazon had it back at a price I could afford. I clicked buy and the order was taken and then I looked at the display on my F2-212 that it was replacing and the final spare HDD died during a rebuild. As HDD are more important I cancelled and now am going to spend the budget on two new Iron Wolf drives, and then will slowly save up to replace the NAS again at a later date. So sad 😞

So I my entry into NAS was the F2-212, I installed two Lexar NQ100 SSD (probably the wrong type of drive but it is what I had).
It ran with no issues for over 6 months (apart from running out of RAM when trying to do too much, but I am going to get a F2-424 to compensate).
I have moved house and made no changes to the settings but now after an hour of so it becomes unresponsive, I can't bring up the log in screen for TOS, SMB will not connect, it will respond to ping and shows on my network, all the lights are green on the front panel. I have to power cycle it to bring it back up again, or as I have recently discovered, have an external HDD in an enclosure connected to the the USB port.
I initially thought it was a kernel issue as mentioned in other posts as the symptoms match:

Any ideas on what could be causing it or will this happen even if I move the SSDs to the F2-424 when I get it?

Hi there,
So I am about to buy an F2-424 and I was just wondering how does it run on TOS6? I know it comes with 5 and I see there is an upgrade path to 6 (and beta test 7). Also if I want to use the optional M.2 SSD slots, do I have to set this up straight away or can I do it later and choose to use it as cache or OS installation at that point?

Thank you for any help
