Turbofans I've made for a friend.

My first go at making my own C.F. parts ( metal guy here 😅 ) a few pinhole and voids but this was vacuum bagged with a home vac and clothes bag. Turned out not so bad for a 1st..

The disc is C.F. , the blades are aluminium and glued in place with PU structural adhesive, as well as riveted with alu rivets. Each weights about 650g. Built exactly the same way Lancia did in the late 80's early 90's with the Gr.A integrale.

Mold release ?

Hello,

Is wax enough of a mold release for making epoxy/CF or Polyester CF infused parts on a mould that's finished with polished polyurethane paint ? Or will the resin attack the wax and stick to the paint ?

I used wax and PVA before, but it leaves streaks, I can't get it on the mold as a nice even and shiny coating ( the PVA )

Also, could anyone recommend a nice tissue fixative spray to me so my weave doesn't distort when cutting/handling?

And as well, a tack adhesive to stick the tissue to the mould prior to bagging and infusion that is compatible with epoxy / polyester resin and won't leave colors or residues on the finished product ?

Stuff available in the EU if possible

I get bubbling in my puddle ?

( been welding 14 yrs plus )

I get bubbling in my puddle when tig welding steel ? I can't find the issue.

It's not a gas leak, it's not the gas setup.

I get some bubbles and eventually it'll blow a hole like when you weld with not enough gas .

Could it be the material ? Bad argon (bottle works perfect on alu ) bad tungsten maybe ? Or the material ?

It's thin steel (1.5mm).
