I caved 😂

I caved 😂

Since Jellycat’s pricing gets more outrageous with every drop, I’m super selective about which ones I get, and often I don’t get any.
The prices of the autumn drop frustrated me to where I was not going to order any, but when I saw the raccoon I couldn’t resist 🥹😭

Anyone else say they wouldn’t be buying, and then cave when they saw one in person? 😂

Pokémon specific builds:

I love seeing houses that are specific for the Pokémon that live there. An example of what I mean is this awesome honeycomb house a player made (not my picture!)

Do you have any builds you’re proud of that were made specifically for a certain Pokémon? I’d love to see!

Omnipod + Dexcom Organization

So I’m a type one diabetic, but I’m also a type B person. This means often times when I get home from the pharmacy i initially leave the bag of Omnipod and dexcoms on the counter and then take them out when i need them, sometimes setting the boxes down somewhere else in the house.

It’s not uncommon for me to forget where I set one of them, and then run around looking frantically when the site change time comes.

I want to be better about this and develop a station where I can store everything in one place (besides insulin obviously)
Does anybody have a great setup? Like a great organizer where you keep pods, sensors, alcohol wipes, glucose tabs, glucagon kit, meter, etc in one place? Id love any product links for organizers that help you stay organized as well as photos of your little dia-stations.

Also if anyone has any links for awesome travel bags you use for bringing along your dexcoms+omnipod supplies when traveling, I’d love those links too!

Experiences with approaching GLP 1 topic

I apologize as i know everyone is probably tired of the GLP-1 T1D discourse but i really need to pick people’s brains.

I’m trying to find the best way to get weight loss medication. I’m so worried to even bring it up to my doctor because I’m afraid I will get shut down because it’s not FDA approved, and that my doctor will just write me off as some lazy woman trying to get skinny, but that’s not true. I haven’t had an A1C under 8 in YEARS. And I’m so scared of the health issues it will give me. I try so hard to stay active and manage it but I’ve always suffered from cravings and never feeling full/ snacking often.

I’m not ridiculously over weight, but i am overweight (5’4, 168 lbs, I have a BMI of 28) but again, it’s more so for me about having control over my seemingly insatiable appetite and getting that little help in not eating to the point of making my blood sugars high. (I do have an insulin pump for which I program what I eat, but as we know carb heavy foods cause a lot of spikes even when we carefully try to dose appropriately.)

So here’s what I’d love to know: T1Ds who are on a GLP1-
How did you approach the topic with your doctor? What was their response? did you have to really push for it? If you’re comfortable sharing, is your BMI similar to mine?

If the doctor said yes, did they find a loophole that got insurance to cover it, even tho it’s not FDA approved for T1D?

If they couldn’t get insurance to cover it and you pursued it anyway- how much are you paying for it on a monthly basis?

Did anyone just not even try with their doctor and pursue it on their own through one of those sites (like hers, or other telehealth platforms) I know this is discouraged, again I’m just wanting to hear everyone’s experiences.

I’m pretty much asking for anyone’s experiences around actually getting the medication as I know there’s are so many hoops to jump through and I’m struggling to advocate for myself and I really believe this could help my numbers and overall health exponentially.
