So I went back and updated my OC Kai Kent's Quirk-"Fear Manipulation" to make it be more believable for a first year at UA High

Unlike abilities that simply induce fear, this Quirk directly interacts with the fears already present within a target’s mind. By manipulating those existing fears, the user can amplify, suppress, shape, or weaponize them in a variety of ways. Rather than creating fear from nothing, the Quirk uses a person’s own subconscious fears as the foundation for its abilities, making every encounter unique.

The user can channel this power into a wide range of attacks and techniques, allowing Fear Manipulation to be adapted for offense, defense, support, and psychological warfare. The user manifests his quirk as green smoke and adapt the smoke into techniques such as:

Fear Step:
When using this move, Kai surrounds his body with smoke before quickly moving.
The smoke briefly hides his position, making it difficult to predict where he’ll appear next.
Concealing his movements rather than teleporting

Fear Shot:
Kai compresses a small amount of Fear Smoke into a dense sphere before firing it from his palm. The orb bursts on impact, releasing a concentrated cloud around the target.

Fear Veil:
While not an 'Ultimate Move', this technique is Kai's signature move. He releases a thick cloud of green fear smoke around the battlefield.

Instead of immediately making people hallucinate, the smoke heightens anxiety, slows decision-making, and makes opponents second-guess everything they see and hear. Experienced heroes or villains can fight through it, but inexperienced opponents begin hesitating.

Fear Grasp:
He condenses fear smoke into ghostly green hands that grab at or physically touch opponent, or block attacks.

They’re not physically very strong, but they feel incredibly real because they’re partially mental. Enemies instinctively struggle against them, leaving openings for Kai to attack.

Fear Crash:
Kai coats his shoulder or fist in dense Fear Smoke before charging straight into an opponent. The physical impact is enhanced by a concentrated burst of fear on contact, often causing the enemy to instinctively recoil.

Smoke Wrap:
He coats his arms, and legs in dense smoke. Physically it doesn’t make him stronger, but every hit feels psychologically heavier because the fear effect is delivered on contact.

Smoke Burst:
A quick puff of smoke from his hand or feet to interrupt an opponent’s vision for just a split second. It doesn’t last long, but that’s all he needs to slip past a guard or land a strike.

Fear Torrent:
Kai extends one or both hands and unleashes a continuous torrent of dense Fear Smoke. Unlike a focused projectile, the smoke spreads as it travels, allowing him to engulf opponents, obscure vision, and quickly saturate an area with his quirk.
Fear Breath:
Kai inhales before exhaling a powerful stream of Fear Smoke directly from his mouth, resembling the breath attack of a dragon. The concentrated plume can cover a wide area in front of him almost instantly, overwhelming opponents with thick smoke

Fear Pulse:
he releases a controlled surge of Fear Smoke into a target—either himself or someone else.
But instead of overwhelming the.
mind, he redirects that fear into
the body’s survival instinct.
Effect:
The fear spike forces the body into hyper-accelerated regeneration
Blood flow increases instantly to injured areas
Muscles tighten and stabilize damage
Minor wounds close quickly; deeper injuries begin rapid repair

Ultimate Moves:

Ultimate Move: Fear Eclipse

The first Ultimate Move that Kai creates on his own, where he releases nearly all of his stored Fear Smoke at once, covering a large section of the battlefield in a dense green fog.

Inside the fog:

Visibility drops to almost nothing.
Every sound seems to come from the wrong direction.
Opponents become increasingly anxious and distracted.
Kai, having trained inside his own smoke, moves through it far more effectively than anyone else.

I know a lot of people hate samurai.... but I think the most terrifying thing about this guy, was how DAMN difficult it was to BEAT him

I mean, even while drying out severely, he:

•clapped all six rangers in TWO hits
•Broke Jayden's sword like it was glass
•Clapped Super Red under a minute

When he absorbed Dayu, and couldn't dry out, he then:

•Clapped all the Rangers again, including Super Blue and Green Shark Attack Mode
•Took absolute no damage from any of their attacks
•Tanked the Sealing Symbol
•Destroyed the Shiba Fire Disk just from his own durability
•When he went giant, he nearly destroyed the Gigazord in ONE SHOT

It took the Rangers and I quote-"All of their symbol power...into one grand strike" and "So close they can't miss"-and tanking his explosion and the Samurai Megazords explosion in their HUMAN form JUST to destroy him

So....if an Ectonurite had a natural Predator, what do you think it would be based on?

Personally, I'm thinking an Anglerfish specter based creature, with the Glowing Lure on its head being as bright as a mini sun-which would hurt Ghostfreak's species.

Fear Manipulation-(this is my personal original quirk I came up with and I have been working on for three months. Please tell me what you think. Any feedback is appreciated if I made it to OP please tell me what to fix.)

Unlike abilities that induce fear, this quirk directly interacts with the fears already present within a target, allowing the user to control, amplify, or weaponize them. The bigger the fears, the more effective the effects work on the targets. It manifests as either smoke or energy, and the color is different shades of green.

The user can use their power in many attacks:

Nightmare Field:
Creates a small field of black smoke that traps the target in illusions of their worst fears and the people they’ve hurt
Limitations:
Targets with high mental strength can resist or partially break through
They may still see illusions but can act through them
Fear Fist:
Condenses solid fear energy into their fist, delivering a powerful enhanced punch.
Fear Cannon:
Fires a concentrated orb of fear energy at a target.
Fear Flames:
Exhales a torrent of green fear-infused fire that burns the body while simultaneously attacking the target’s mind.
Fear Bolt:
Raises a hand to the sky and summons a massive bolt of fear-infused lightning.
Limitations:
Longer charge time before it strikes
Drains a lot of stamina or mental energy
Harder to aim under pressure
Leaves them briefly vulnerable after use
Fear Pulse:
They release a controlled surge of fear energy into a target—either themselves or someone else.
But instead of overwhelming the.
mind, they redirects that fear into
the body’s survival instinct.
Effect:
The fear spike forces the body into hyper-accelerated regeneration
Blood flow increases instantly to injured areas
Muscles tighten and stabilize damage
Minor wounds close quickly; deeper injuries begin rapid repair
Fear Manifest:
Channels the majority of their power to physically manifest the target’s deepest fears.
Fear Explosion:
They trigger a concentrated burst of fear energy beneath their target, causing green smoke and crackling energy to erupt outward in a violent explosion. The blast doesn’t just hit physically—it floods the target’s mind with raw terror, disrupting their focus and amplifying their worst fears in an instant.
Fear Implosion: Repulse:
They release a burst of fear energy from their body, sending green smoke and force outward in a shockwave. Despite the outward blast, the true effect is internal—those caught in the wave feel their senses collapse inward as fear overwhelms them, disrupting both mind and movement while knocking them back.
Mind Shock:
A last-resort technique where they channel fear energy through two fingers into the target’s forehead, forcing them to experience their fears and the pain they’ve caused all at once, overwhelming their mind.
Limitations:
Requires direct contact → very hard to land
Leaves them completely open while using it
Massive mental backlash → tgey risk feeling parts of it too
Extreme stamina drain → can only be used once (or very rarely)
Precision required → too much power = permanent damage

Weakness:
Despite their strength, The user's quirk comes with a serious cost.

To use it effectively, they must look into the mind of their opponent to understand their fears.
In doing so, they are forced to:
• experience their fears firsthand
• witness everything they’ve done

If the target’s mind is too overwhelming—whether due to trauma, cruelty, or sheer intensity—it can overload the user's mind, causing them to hesitate and drop their guard, or damage THEIR mind too

Also, each ultimate move requires so much stamina that they can't use too many at once. Doing so will drain them faster and leave them completely defense.

However, their BIGGEST weakness is that their quirk works on their own mental state. The more they PANIC, the weaker their quirk gets in the quicker they run out of energy in stamina

None of these are meant to be actual monsters using a Power Ranger show, I have a box of 100 colored pencils, and made these based off every shade of each color. Which one do you like the best?

For the blue one, I just wanted to use the letters of my name because that's my favorite color. (19 different shades of blue, lol)
