I have done about 180 problems on CF most of them greedy adhoc implementation (basically that doesnt require any dsa just logic.) yet im stuck i cant solve more than 1 problem in div 2 😭🙏
Second Year just started , im from Tier 3 college in Pune , CSE.
so in first year this is all i have done since Feb -
Around 40-50% DSA sheet done from Striver . (Currently finished trees , graphs and dp remaining)
Leetcode - total 238 solved
Codeforces - 191 solved (rating around 11xx)
leetcode i have not given contests yet as im targetting to finish dsa first. on Cf i have given about 11 contests
Now i know ye sirf DSA /CF se nahi hoga kuch , maine first year mai dev bhi nahi kiya (absolute zero)
As second year just started i want genuine advice ki exactly kya target karu. I am willing to work hard , meko interest nahi bacha genuinely kisi specific field mai.
Need advice on GATE too as i dont think till 2029 placements of my college would be any good!!

So hello , i am from Computer Eng. Department , maine dekha idhar bohot sare log post kar rahe asking about the college so here is my review -
How strict is the college? - Genuinely meko nahi laga college itna strict , yes some teachers are strict but apart from that college is very chill .
Attendance - I dont think anybody cares about ur attendance here , agar thoda respectable attendance hai like 55-60% ke in between you are good to go ..
Exams - The best part of this college are exams , very few written exams atleast for FY , exam kab ayi aur kab gayi pata nahi chalega . Huge plus point for people who dont like written exams . Lot of Course Projects + project based stuff is there . So make sure u do them correctly . (majority crowd uses ai which is pretty useless sadly)
Crowd - sadly most crowd is not upto the mark i feel (opinions may vary) altho 20-30% of crowd is genuinely good and willing to work hard it seems . ( So try to surround yourself with the correct people )
How hard is to get CGPA - passing is very easy here , getting 9+ involved a bit of luck too as some teachers are very strict . but i would say most teachers lie in lenient to moderate here (as far as my experience goes ) . So yeah if u work hard 9+ should be doable.
Friends - Genuinely i was shit scared of making friends on the first day , but i made genuine good friends along the way (am an introvert so meri fati padi thi on first day 🤣) try to reach out to various people , so koi na koi mil jayega
Reddit has a tendency to spread negativity a lot . A found the college to be nicer than what reddit had mentioned . Genuine hardworking crowd dikhta hai mujhe yaha pe (so it is always a question of about which group you surround yourself with).
best days here have been playing Table tennis around here , meko starting mai tt nahi ata tha but ab dosto ke sath khelke bohot improve hua hai aur ab genuinely maja ata hai 🤣

so overall summarised - take this college if its the absolute best u are getting at that percentile(and have a decent boards score) . reddit ne mere andar bohot negativity bhardi thi about tthis college but i wouldnt say its absolute best but its not the worst either i feel.
