Internal awards ceremony planning: Help making it special and seamless

Hi! I’m helping plan an internal awards/recognition ceremony and would love to hear what’s worked well for others.

For anyone who’s run company awards ceremonies: how do you structure your run of show so it feels polished but not overly scripted or stiff?

Also curious:

  • Any fun or memorable touches you’ve added?
  • How do you keep the program moving without it feeling rushed?
  • Any tips for making it super easy for leaders/presenters to follow their parts?
  • Do you give them a full script, cue cards, a speaker grid, or something else?

Trying to make this feel warm, celebratory and seamless — especially for leaders who are presenting but don’t have a ton of time to prep.

Thanks in advance!

Santa Fe itinerary gut check — what would you add or change?

Hi! My husband and I are heading to Santa Fe this weekend and I’d love thoughts on our plan so far — especially whether we’re missing anything great or trying to fit in too much! we wanted a mix of great hiking and culture.

UPDATE: i have all reservations already!

Friday - explore the town

  • Breakfast at Sage Bakehouse
  • Georgia O’Keeffe Museum
  • Lunch at either El Chile Toreado or La Choza
  • Walk around town
  • Dinner at Sazón

Saturday - Georgia O'Keefe home / Ghost Ranch

  • Santa Fe Farmers Market at the Railyard
  • Georgia O’Keeffe Home & Studio Tour in Abiquiú
  • Considering an afternoon stop at Plaza Blanca or Rim Vista Trail / Ghost Ranch for a scenic hike
  • Dinner at Paper Dosa or The Shed

Sunday - Tent Rocks / Ten Thousand Waves

  • Tent Rocks in the morning
  • Ten Thousand Waves early evening
  • Dinner at Izanami there

Would love any thoughts on:

  • The best Saturday afternoon option after Abiquiú
  • Worth trying to do Bandolier?
  • A good sports bar for the Knicks game
  • Anything we should swap, skip, or add.

I’m looking for some advice for a late August trip. My husband will already be in Ibiza for a few days, and I’m planning to fly out and meet him there to start a two-week vacation together.

Since we both have "work from anywhere" roles, we need a spot that balances high-end amenities with the infrastructure to stay productive.

The Criteria:

  • Vibe: Luxurious, beautiful, and lively (but perhaps a step down from the Ibiza intensity).
  • Logistics: A quick, direct flight from Ibiza (under 2.5 hours).
  • Stay: Looking for villa setups or high-end suites with excellent Wi-Fi and dedicated desk space.
  • Activities: Great food scene, beautiful beaches, and maybe some opportunities for hiking or biking to stay active.

We’ve considered the typical spots like Mallorca or the South of France, but we are open to more "hidden gem" luxury enclave.

Where should we head for those two weeks that feels like a true escape without being a logistical nightmare to get to from Ibiza?
